Whether the Gears Remaster charts or not depends on when it's released. It's a remaster of 1 game, so we're probably looking around $40 price-wise. If it's in the holidays (pls no), no chance. GOWIII:R has a better chance at charting considering it's being released with very little competition. I think it'll at least make the lower end of the top 10. Both of them seem more like bundle bait than anything, however.

I'll jump on the hype ranking thing.

This would actually make a good game. Let's make this a game.

OK GAF, Rank the upcoming press conferences by how excited you are for each one, and explain why.

1 - Sony. Uncharted 4 is currently my #1 most anticipated game, so there's that. At a Sony conference, there's so much that could happen, but I'll stick to the probable stuff. Rime, No Man's Sky, Until Dawn, The Nathan Drake Collection, shit tons of JPRGs, I want to see all of it. The question is how they're going to fit it all in 2 hours, what with Call of Duty(?), Battlefront, & Destiny all asking for room (I want to see those as well). Plus Ratchet & Clank never looked so good. Be still my beating heart. Lord, if GoW4, GT7, or Horizon show up, I won't make it.

2 - Nintendo. As much as I question Nintendo's business decisions as a company, the charm of their games never fails to pull me back in. Star Fox & Metroid are everyone's big hopes, but I'm hoping to see a lot of good 3DS games in store. This year has been pretty light (not that it matters, my backlog is huge), and I want to see more of Bravely Second and Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon. I hate admitting this, but I hope we get more Smash DLC as well.

3 - Microsoft. Even though I don't own an Xbox One, this is one of my most anticipated MS conferences in years. I think they're going to have a great, albeit predictable show. I don't think QB will be there, but I'm looking forward to seeing more of Halo 5, Scalebound, Fable Legends, and ROTTR. I also think one of either Crackdown or Gears will show up. Plus who knows what surprises they have in store after 3rd parties and indies have their say.

4 - EA. Other than the usual spoooooooooorts titles, EA actually has a lot of new stuff up their sleeves. Mass Effect 4 seems like a long shot, but I want to finally see some Battlefront gameplay and decide whether it's worth getting hyped for. Mirror's Edge 2 I hope to see, as well as the Need For Speed Reboot and whatever Criterion has cooking. That ATV game, right?

5 - Ubisoft. Ubisoft has a lot of great games on their plate leading up to the new year. I'm highly anticipating The Division, first and foremost. Though I think there's no way this game will make 2015, the concept of the game when it was first revealed sounded amazing. Only think I need to worry about is getting Ubisoft'd. Other than that, Assassin's Creed, R6 Siege, Just Dance, nice. Beyond Good & Evil 2. Please?

6 - Square Enix. More JRPGs all over my bodyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy. Even though Square is going to have an Eidos-heavy show this year, I still hope and pray to the gods that Kingdom Hearts III shows up. While Hitman, Deus Ex, and Just Cause are all great, this ranking is solely based on KHIII. If it shows, move this conference up to #4.

7. - Bethesda. Fallout 4 is the obvious one here. I played most of the way through New Vegas and loved it. I never got to play Dishonored or Wolfenstein, so I'm looking forward to some new stuff to pique my interest. Elder Scrolls looks good as well, my cousin is pressuring me into buying it. But I want the whole Fallout 4 blowout please. Bethesda, don't disappoint.

8 - PC Gaming. The only reason I have it at the bottom here is because I have absolutely no idea what to expect. I won't lie, this conference seems like it has the greatest chance to become a shit show of fun proportions. I expect some good game announcements, and Phil should be coming over to spout whatever BS he has about Gaming and Windows 10, so there's that. The only thing iffy about this show is that it's supposed to be 3 hours long, have mercy. Hopefully it doesn't drag out too badly, but It's best to wait and see.

1. Nintendo- starfox is all but confirmed and I'm willing to bet we'll see Animal Crossing u there as well. Hoping in a xenoblade release date.
probably just 2016 with no month given.
I'm also expecting a new 3ds game. I don't know what, I'm just expecting something shown.

1.5. Bethesda- forgot this one somehow, hyped as hell for fallout gameplay.

2. EA- Hoping to see some Mass Effect 4 along with battlefront gameplay.

3. Microsoft- I'm hoping we find out something about scale bound, the only reason I'm really excited for it is because it's platinum, but that won't keep me excited forever. Also hoping Rare's new game looks good. I don't own an xb1 but I might get one for a new Banjo game.

4.Squeenix- I'm excited for deus ex, that's about it though.

5.Sony- I'm honestly not expecting much. I feel they are going to focus on third party games that will be better on PC anyway. Morpheus is the new kinect, I don't want to see it.

6. PC- Are there going to be any actual announcements here?

7. Rest- not even on my radar.

You just reminded me of that Kotaku article where he said some things about TLG and Ueda. I have a bad feeling about this guy.
j/k.. sorta.. too late I'm panicking again

Well, the reality of the circumstances surrounding Studio Japan, is that like it or not, there'll be a villain out of the story.

Is the villain the "boss who restructures the studio to be more focused" or the villain the "the creatives who does whatever the fuck they wants in the name of artistic creativity?"

What? Turns out his shadow-self was the one posting all along and he was just freed?

If I had to side with someone I'd go with Becker. Since he's been running the show Japan Studio has been building bridges, getting back to being excellent developers themselves and showing Japanese teams what it can be like to put projects out in a timely manner. Ueda is/was brilliant, but it gets to a point where even the Chinese Democracy-esque situation beggars belief.

I'd much rather Japan Studio make great games of their own and continue their Santa Monica-like operations (brought in by Becker) to get involved with more teams.

I'm personally hoping that the game is great when it is released and everyone can be happy. Then Japan Studio can continue to develop along their new path (which looks to be quite successful) - Bloodborne, Gravity Daze/Rush, Puppeteer, Star Ocean etc.

1. Sony - There has been no leaks, not even a some small rumours. Uncharted 4 gameplay and trailer is already enough to have it at the top for me. Excited to potentially see Media Molecules new game, Horizon, God of War, Rime, Gran Turismo 7 and NMS. There is so many possibilities, even TLG could show up.

Technically Horizon is already a leak.

No one should expect TLG, much like Shenmue 3 that dream is long dead. It is not gonna show at E3. It is not gonna show at the Paris show or at TGS either.

The most we will get is news of a cancellation.

You can quote me on this.

You can quote me but please dont. :P Now if it does happen you shall be legit shook and not disappointed if it doesnt. Also I dont know anything so you should not actually quote me at all. I just wanted to temper expectations.

Just over a week left, can't wait. It's nice that there aren't so many leaks, fake or otherwise this time around, as it just confuses the shit out of what really gets revealed.

Really hyped for Fallout 4, Crackdown, Deus Ex, Mass Effect and any new IP's that get announced.

The Division has already been delayed for Q1 next year:

Sony shouldn't have Uncharted 4 steal the show again. They should end it with Horizon or some other new exclusive. No chance on TLG. We might as well wait until cars are able to fly before we ever see that game announced again.

I highly suspect it's going to be a very quiet year for the traditional Nintendo EAD teams, but the likes of Next Level or maybe even Retro might have something to show.

Hoping that we hear about some more Garage projects. With the Wii U ticking its life out, it's fertile ground for experiments.

Apart from Bloodborne, no those aren't big reveals. I mean, you included a port of a last gen game, a price and no-change in policy announcement.

KH3 and FFXV are SE, multiplatform games that might or might not be released.

Not a whole lot of Sony exclusives.

Could've just agreed that you've got unrealistic expectations and saved yourself the time you spent writing all that up.

So who's walking on stage to re-announce The Last Guardian then? In a just world, Tretton would return to resolve some unfinished business, but that's not going to happen. If Sony flies Ueda over to L.A., it'll be a dead giveaway the moment someone spots him milling around the showroom floor, and he's only freelance these days anyway. It'll probably be House or Yoshida, or Layden since he's eager for those brownie points.

I vote Yosh.

Where'd the Tretton idea come from? It doesn't make much sense to me, he had nothing to do with it outside of answering press questions about it and even then, didn't he say it was cancelled at one point? I just remember Shu having to control the damage afterwards.

Shu has to be the one who announces it.

Nintendo's show will probably be Animal Crossing U & whatever Retro's been slaving away on. Which, y'know, we've had worse. Especially if AC:U (Not Assassin's Creed Unity...) isn't a lazy DS up-port like City Folk was.

I have a strong fucking feeling AC is skipping Wii U. Especially because there's a 3DS Animal Crossing thing out this holiday anyway.

Like, it's taken for granted that it's one of those franchises that appears on every platform now, but nah. I don't see it happening this time. Maybe on NX.

Can't wait for Microsoft conference.
EA for Mass effect I hope And mirror edge.

Ubisoft. Rainbow six.

Fallout.

And lastly I hope for something from Valve. Left for dead or portal.

The rest is not on my radar.

Simply because he was the one who presented it at E3 '09, along with Agent. Hence unfinished business.

Unrealistic? 2 unannounced exclusives per conference isn't a lot.

I thought you were talking about Ready at Dawn before I clicked the link. I was like "what?!"

A new Prince of Persia, that's cool. Won't be the sequel to the '08 installment I so desperately crave though.

My expectations of a new PoP are super low. It's probably going to be a UbiArt game. =/

Unless it's called : Assassin's Creed : Fallen Prince of Persia
