Gran Turismo 5 was 1280x1080 while in 1080p mode with 2x QAA.

I'm sorry that posting my post right after his without quoting was too much for you to handle. Hope you are not confused by this too.
I didn't say anything about DC level weather in Forza I was saying it should do better than a game on an ancient machine. Hope that's clear enough for you now.
Yeah, I think they are delusional.
^^GT doesn't really have a smooth framerate, at least not the last two entries in the series.

PGR4 holds up pretty well if you ask me. This isn't the best representation of the game, the gif isn't very smooth, but damn that game was graphically impressive.

and 30fps
Looks insane for 360, was it 60fps?

and 30fps
and 30fps
wrong
Watching the DF video I wouldn't exactly call it 60 either.
GT had real weather on a even lesser powerful machine at 60fps. Time for Forza to really step it up.
I know it's not stable but is it really that bad, constant drops and close to 50fps in average? Whatever happened to that game? Were they forced to release it as it was because of Forza 5 or the delay of Driveclub or what? It's just not like PD to leave the optimization in that state.True, but calling it 30 is wrong as well. Overall it averages close to 50. With the worst instances being at night in the rain. Forcing 720p results in a slight increase. And 3D mode just completely messes with the framerate.
Yeah maybe.
Next gen racers need to have locked frame rates, the GTs and Forza's do anyways, because theyre setting the bar for realism. You don't want to be battling input lag because the frame rate is chugging. Instead you wanna focus on the racing at hand, not in game performance issues. But I guess some can tolerate frame rates that aren't constant, but to me its just an ugly black eye. Hell I even hated it in Sega Rally 2 years ago, that racer was ruined to me because of its frame rates that were hardly ever steady. GT and Forza are the epitome of next gen racing, gotta keep them running smoothly then![]()
Considering what Playground games did with the engine in FH2 in regards to weather and time of day in an open world game, I'm not surprised Turn 10 have wet weather and night racing in FM6. I'm assuming it have have equally as good image quality as well (in terms of AA).
If they manage to squeeze in 4XMSAA, they can keep the dynamic lighting. FH2 has the best image quality of any game I have played on the Xbox One/PS4, but I have yet to play Infamous SS.
Did you play The Order 1886 or Ryse? Those two hold the trophies for image quality.

Ryse is not 1080p, so it's image quality is shit. No game will hold a trophy for image quality if it isn't at the native resolution of the display it's on. Unless you are talking about Ryse on PC.
.
Ryse would have had great, but not as amazing image quality as FH2 and I:SS, if it was 1080p native resolution and if it had less blur/DOF. Same thing with The Order, it has native resolution but the excessive amount of blur/DOF keeps it from topping FH2/I:SS in my book.

Please leave the thread if you're going to continue to keep lying and BS'ing your way through the thread.
Neither GT5 or 6 are 60fps games in reality.
They also are NOT 1080p.
Weather destroys the framerate.
Forza 5 had a flawless 60fps and true 1080p sacrificed everything else!
With that large selection of manufacturers I'd say it's fair to assume that it's not happening as a few of them have clauses preventing full damage (detachable hoods, doors or whatnot). Licensing is still a thing preventing proper damage modeling, but it is also a very performance heavy feature. This is what I want more detail on. Parts flying when you crash would be awesome. Don't expect it, but would be nice.
fixed for ya
Well, you call cgcg a liar, well, you are misleading as well. I'm glad that PD brought dynamic weather. What's wrong with that?.
GT5 and GT6 came on out on last-gen. PD in graphical and tech department achieved on last-gen consoles what Turn 10 still trying to date.

Oh be quiet, I'm not misleading with anything at all. Go away.
Please stop trying to create arguments. I said nothing about dynamic weather being wrong..not in any way, at all. Drop it.
The point is I, and your average sim racing fan, want 60fps+ locked...period. We want weather, we want changing ToD, we DO NOT want it at the sacrifice of framerate, performance, or responsiveness. Period.
IF T10 delivers any of those (I expect rain/wet conditions and night) and they pull off locked 60fps and true 1080p. I applaud them. NO ONE else has done both on a console yet.

and what's up with that? why is that a thing?

Just add him to your ignore list
I don't have anyone on my ignore list, haha. I like to think I never have to do that. Just going to ignore that conversation from here on in. I'm sure the real "gameplay/E3" thread is going to be "fun".
Heh
Hey, I know my most requested feature: Much more believable in car behavior and movements from the driver's hands! I don't like it when it looks like it's a robot holding the steering wheel. I want to see some subtle touches and behaviors that make me more easily believe that there is a real person controlling this car.
Kinect functionality - Say 'suck it' for the driver to roll down the window and flip off other drivers.
So from this thread I've seen gifs from pgr4,comparisons to ps3 games and found out that Ryse has "shit" image quality. All the forza 6 info I need!
I mean you do still realize GT6 on was a ancient old ass machine right? I mean for a current gen game to do less than what it achieved simply because it's *40% less powerful than PS4" is a piss poor excuse.
I'll let you answer the other technical stuff since you are one who must know those numbers before comparing and setting the bar above a last gen game.
inFamous and FH2 have much better still-image quality, Ryse and The Order deal with temporal (pixel crawl in motion) and specular aliasing better..
Unless a game uses super low detail/low contrast assets, a lower resolution's always going to degrade detail and sharpness. It being 900p didn't hurt its image quality at all,
Solid, chunkier geometry's very clean but sub-pixel edges and foliage need an extra TAA pass at least. And Forza Horizon 2 is insanely clean in the image quality department. In fact, it's damn near perfection for this gen.
