Splatoon |OT2| Prepare to Dye

it's funny cos i'm still not used to gyro yet on the x axis... I use it all the time for y, but like when a brusher is running circles around you my instinct is still to curse my sticks for not swinging fast enough

Really fucking tired of being thrown into servers clearly outside my country. Nintendo, it's 2015, regional filtering please.

Someone can tell me if there is a real difference between wifi and Ethernet adapter for Splatoon?

If you live in a area with a ton of routers and devices that use the 2.4GHz band and your wifi drops or is affected due to interference it will absolutely make a difference when using the LAN adapter.

I usually play games really late at night but it's constantly putting me with japanese players when I do that here.

Oh man i was killing it ranked this morning with the roller. The other team was on Saltspray and 3 of them were up on the top of the ledge on their side. I saw them and got over there, kraken'd up the wall and splatted all 3 of them before seeing the 4th member on the ground, jumped off and landed right on top for an even 4/4 kills.

I think one i got this morning was 14/2. Absolutely insane.
But then RNG gods saw i was happy and decided to put me on shitters until i was all the way back down into low Cs.

Its such a shame the gold dynamo is too slow to be of much use offensively. I'd love to have my Krak-On with ink bombs at least. I'll keep the kraken.

So are wired ethernet adapters for the Wii U generally a waste of money? I got one and based on speedtests it seems to go even slower than wifi.
Speed tests through the Wii u web browser aren't fully reliable. For gaming the most important thing is your ping and I don't think there's a web based test that accurately measures that right now.

There's a reason Nintendo themselves recommended the Ethernet adapter in the Smash Direct. That said with everyone else on wifi and possibly in another country it can only make a small difference. I'm happy to continue using my Ethernet adapter even with my Wii u right next to my router.

If you use the Jr. then your main option would probably just be to ninja people when they show up. The ranged weapons, they can sit on those two perches near the top pier and keep people out. But if you're a Jr. player, then I guess you have to patrol the hallways and the entrance to the anteroom area?

The Saltspray pier is a nightmare to approach if the whole section is painted and they have a couple people patrolling the entrance. Even if you take back the middle section, they'll just back up to the top of the ramp and re-group.

Typically, what I'm doing is going after the one area between the two spawns first. Then I rush up the back side towards the middle. Instead of jumping down, there are three little levels to the side there. (I didn't notice them at first). I try and take out the rollers and others from there. Then I push into the back area. If I'd camp the ramp there, I think it'd work better. But I get so bored just sitting there.

I've tried other weapons, but man I love that Splattershot. Once I finish single player, I'll have to try some different weapons. I need something that shoots fast. Fits my playstyle better.

I really hope Nintendo is banning the sick fucks posting sexual shit on miiverse.

I just hope this won't discourage them from doing this stuff with more games. The Splatoon "Posts as Graffiti" idea is so cool to suffer because some folks don't have internal filters.

I'm lobby-skipping just to land in one without a dead weight. On my side or theirs, I don't care. I just want an evenly matched round. >->

There's been sooooo many games that allow people to see other people's miiverse posts randomly.

If they're gonna get rid of it they would have a long time ago.

So anyway... I think I've come to the conclusion that the Aerospray is my weapon. It just fits my style the best. Spread a lot of ink and get all up in people's faces. The brush is almost there, and I'd like to get better with it over time.

And man, there are some maps that are just obviously so much better for me regardless of what weapon I'm using. I've won almost every ranked match at the mall today, but lost nearly every one on the port. There's just something about it I can't wrap my head around. Same thing with the skatepark. And I almost always win on the underpass as well.

And honestly, I kind of like that. Despite most of the maps having the same template (spawn, base, middle, etc.) they all feel different.

I was looking over the sunken scrolls and I noticed the "Calamari County Customary Chorus" is actually sheet music for the intro to the final boss theme, phase 2. Pretty cool.

So has no one else ancountered the glitch where the camera doesn't move from the starting point? Meaning when the camera initially shows everyone rising from the spawn pad, and it doesn't change for the entire match. Happened to me once when I first got the game and I played the match top down view style on the gamepad.

Nope. So was it like pacman?
