Forza Motorsport 6 has "wet weather, 3D puddles and night races" + more

Hook my avatar up!

Here you go. :D

Wait P cars are also in FM6?!?!

Omg I want to see the 997.2 GT3 RS 4.0 so bad!

Prototypes have been in Forza for a long time.

Definitely hit us up when you get one, Horizon 2 will still definitely be worth picking up after Forza 6 drops.

You bet, really miss FM games. FH was another favorite of mine on the 360.

That is a feature of DC I like.

Previous Forza games on X360 did adjust the crowd levels. If you were racing there were crowds. But if you were time trialing the crowds were removed.
That's right, I couldn't quite remember if 3 and 4 had that as well.

...and here I am, as a car lover, hating being a responsible adult, LOL.

I traded in my Corvette and Mustang to get my wife and daughters a new SUV. Glad they have a safe ride....super sad I don't have my sports cars anymore.
Yeah, instead of daddy's new Audi, we got a Mazda CX9 with the optional 3rd row for the family.
Next stop is minivan, wife gave birth to our 2nd daughter 2 weeks ago. And I thought I didn't have any free time with just one kid...

I'll be on the same round of my pCARS career for weeks at this point. And MotoGP15 will just sit there for a while when I get that shipped later this month.

All this Forza talk is making my Forza Box One feel like it's gonna get some use again.

I will so try this game out at Eurogamer Expo in England this year in September (I predict it'll be there).

They had a Racing Seat last year for FH2, they better have it there again!

Mmm.. no '71 911T mean no Magnus Walker 277 in the Horizon lineup.

Maybe DLC or FM6 exclusive..?

I'd say it will be Forza 6 only.

So did Forza never have Porche vehicles? I never really noticed since they have so many cars to choose from.

To me they all blend together. But I have never been a fan of sports cars. In real life I'll take a minivan over any sports car any day.

Porsche was in Forza 1, 2 and 3 on-disc, but then as DLC in Forza 4 as others have said.

Pretty stoked to have Porsche back, especially for FM6. I just need the 997 GT3 and I'm all set.

Edit** If someone handed me $100k to toss at a car, I'd drop it on an F360 or F430 Spider...have wanted one for years.

I mean.. when I say SUV I'm referring to this.
Which is my actual dream car.

Exciting times ahead.

I think that it would be cool for T10 to utilize some of PGRs fictional tracks in Forza 6.

I recall that a lot of New York and St. Petersburg PGR tracks drove a lot like Prague's, with different paving and kerbs.

There are terabytes of PGR reference assets sitting on a server somewhere at Microsoft.

Shame to waste them..!

I refuse to buy one, lol.

Compact SUV, or full size SUV, and sports cars...that's it!

buying massive cars because you have a child or two is crazy but that seems to be the 'uniform' you wear when you have kids. My Impreza had ISOFIX mounts for child seats and my baby son loved driving around it in - the noisy engine sent him to sleep really quickly. And it had plenty of space in the boot for storage - prams etc.

People overreact so much when they have kids. No need.

Corporations are very good at wasting assets. They often say it's due to licensing but mostly that isn't true.

It has nothing to do with licensing, Microsoft owns all of the PGR assets. They aren't used because the assets are for a last-gen title and they wouldn't stand up to the assets they are using now.

I bought my wife a compact SUV (Toyota) as it had much better safety ratings for children in the center seating than kids crammed in the back of a Mustang or strapped to the rear of a corvette.

lol

That CG footage from the Ford GT reveal is being used in the Xbox events video for E3. So it might actually be Forzavista footage.

I'm curious as to if that is what that was. It looked like something from a new Forzavista or car introduction.

Some might overreact, but sometimes you do need the extra space.

We had an Impreza as well and both of my boys rode in it fine, when it was just us and light luggage at least. However, when you need to travel with four people (two adults and two children) and you need clothes, stroller, golf clubs/snowboards, etc, it got pretty challenging in the Impreza.

We bought a Honda Odyssey as our primary vehicle and kept the Impreza until we traded it in. I don't need the van all the time, but the features and room it has is very much needed at times.

This footage:

The only reason I'd doubt it is it seems like more stylized lighting than they've used in the past. The model quality is already close in Forza 5, and that's from almost two years ago. The materials are definitely better defined though. Some passes from that video could go either way, some I'm pretty sure are real-world.

[Edit]: This is different from the footage I was thinking of. The video you shared looks like it's all real-world.

Lol, no way.
I don't know, the lighting and reflections seem too good but the do have the virtue of baking absolutely everything in Forzavista mode. They're using that footage in the Forza 6 spots in the Xbox live events video. If you look closely the mirrors aren't reflecting the car/environment accurately.

Also there are no signs of polygon edges, while FM5 weren't that smooth. So unless they started using tessellation similar to GT6 they aren't gonna be this smooth.

I agree it looks too good to be true, but it's an odd decision for them to use that footage as a placeholder for Forza 6 at E3. It could be featured in the game as prerendered footage too.

The biggest giveaway is the "Ford Performance" print on the number plate, Forza's model doesn't have it and historically they don't do these things.

Say it again, ShamePain, there is a big difference between a ForzaVista model and a in-game model.

ForzaVista is rendering just the car and of course the Ford GT in the game isn't going to waste polygons on something like that.

Ah, that's not the same (exact footage) I had seen. The interiors look way too detailed to be from a game. I had only seen the exterior shots that were used in the Forza 6 reveal.

I don't believe the interior shots but some of the exterior shots are damn close to what I think is possible.

I think the point about what's in the license plate space (especially with the XB JP image) is a good one. That's the sort of detail they'd have in promo photography but wouldn't necessarily want in-game.

It's nice to believe in things, Forza doesn't do number plate markings, period. Not one game in the series has them. GT/DC do, not Forza.

I didn't know if you know this but Forza is having this sponsorship kind of thing with Ford and their new supercar....

It's easy to explain away such a small detail to LoD on a in-game screenshot with other cars on track.

So you've seen the future? You're also ignoring that Ford and Turn 10 are in patnership for the launch of the Ford GT too right?

Just to be clear.

I'm not saying it is from Forza 6's ForzaVista mode. I'm saying that such a small detail doesn't make sense to disprove something entirely.

I know about the partnership, but I think that sort of detail would be reflected on-track too, just based on the detail in Forza 5 gameplay. I'm basically saying the image we have that looks like it's from photo mode in Forza 6 didn't show the text, so that's the strongest assumption we have for one vs the other.

For the life of me, I can't figure out why PGR 4's tracks never made it to Forza. They look amazing to this day and would dramatically increase the environment count. Not to mention add a fantastic variety to all of the circuits.

I'm not even sure if photomode models match ForzaVista models honestly.
