What the fuck am I watching. Why cant I stop.
Seven.
And going by the teaser images - seven more to go.
One every week?
7 available for MP, 3 that we know of that aren't, 4 unannounced.
Remember folkes, if a Kraken pursues, you get to the higher ground and laugh at its helplessness.
Yep but you can freely edit the characters appearance at any time. Even gender. Of course they will still have your Mii nickname.Surprised how much I loved playing Splatoon, girlfriend is in to it too.
I'm guessing you can only have one character per NNID?
That's an amazing idea Taku. All that's missing now is a mode where you get points per "kill" so everyone who's playing the game wrong and ruining everything for his/her team can play that mode instead.
Actually, I have a serious idea for a new mode. Sort of a free-for-all turf war where everyone gets their own colour.
Anyone has any tips on playing with a charger in Urchin Underpass? For the rest of the maps I have some strategies and I always perform good, but in this one I can´t find a way to contribute to the team as much as I´d like. There´s almost no space to move in the central zone and the height differences make it easy for fast weapons to approach you safely.
the charger can be really good in the central area of Urchin Underpass. Stay back on your side of the mid and keep an eye on all three entrances (always keep moving, you can't see all of them at the same time). If the other team gets pushed out of mid, you can easily camp this area and pick off anyone that tries to enter. Always keep the area covered in your ink, especially the side ramps. Be careful, someone could ambush you from the trench. If the enemy holds the mid, the first thing you should do when entering the area from the ramp is to ink the corner on the left side, people love to hide there. Awareness of your surroundings is the key here
I thought it was impossible to survive in the mid zone, but I´ve really tried everything I could think of and it hasn´t worked, so I´ll do it your way and see if I can improve. Thanks!
new map coming out right when i'll have time for the game again
all according to splatkaku
The worst thing about new maps is i'm usually asleep or real tired when they drop.
So is Kelp Dome coming in 14:30 hours or in 38:30 hours? Or neither and I got it wrong?
Get a sprinkler and throw it to the ceiling. ^^
These sub 200 chargers
Why lawd

Probably old but it's too relevant not to post again.
I played with a sub 200 roller yesterday. What a great asset for our team!
This setup allowed me to crack B rank last night. Specifically custom blaster is my new baby- the bubble really helps CYA. My aim isn't amazing but this build allows me to just line up one good shot.Though I have a suspicion that once we're all very experienced with this game, ninja squid will only be used in niche builds.hmm. blaster and ninja squid are underrated. not great in turf war though, but this is my mucking around time
What is normal here? I thought web browser and uploading to site was how you did it for things without Miiverse support. How do I take Screenshot of total hours played, normal way of making screenshots doesn't work in the Log App?
How are points/placement determined in splatzones? Is it purely on kills?
Can someone explain the following?
1) Map rotation - is it just two maps per game mode that are randomly changed throughout the day? If so, why only 2 considering more maps have been released? Why not just include all of the maps for play?
2) End of match gear upgrades - I've ranked to 5 and notice that after a match something randomly happens which seems to give me an upgrade to my existing gear. How does this process work/how do I even know what I'm getting?
Yup - but there are no 'placements', they just order the teams that way, IIRC. Kills impact contribution more in SplatZones I guess, but everyone gains the same amount of sweet loot.
1) To make the match-making faster because no one has to pick a map or switch load-outs, make you learn every map instead of just sticking to one or two (the problem of every other online shooter basically - and even Mario Kart to some extent), and because since you can't switch load-out midway through you pick the one that's most adaptable to the two maps at hand.
It's soon gonna become 3 maps in the rotation but I agree 4-hours is way too much (the time needed for a change)
2) It's random, and the gear gets XP along you - although some of the gears have brands and are more likely to get specific perks. There are 1-slot, 2-slot and 3-slot gears, allowing for these sub-abilities. Once you reach Level 20 you can pay Spyke (the urchin) to reroll the abilities (random as well).

Kelp Dome is a strange one. The ground floor would seem to favor rollers, lots of great flat surfaces, corners and corridors. Except rollers will have trouble getting much done on the catwalks, and the kraken weakness was already mentioned.
The grates are overall an interesting thing to throw into the mix...now more than ever people will have to think about their ink capacity. Not only are you wide open to attacks from below but you're liable to run out of ink while you're up there. You can't toss a bomb and still be able to get to where you're going safely.
Finally approved to post after months of waiting! Added myself to the list in the OP, my NNID is DORK94, would love some people to play with!
I'm surprised when I hear people say they don't like Splat Zones - I don't think I've played more than 2 games of Turf War since I hit Level 10, and the only people I have to play with is randoms.
i think the really interesting thing about grates is that you can't squid over them and you can be hit through them

Can I get linked the spreadsheet outlining the clothing options in the game? I can't seem to find it here.
