I'm not the best artist either, but give me enough time and erasers and I can probably come up with something decent.
Oh hey, I didn't know you were part of GAF. =D GGs earlier. I don't think I ever splatted you in those games.
Well I have to use the map a lot more than other maps. Since the space is so huge, I need it to tell where safe and dangerous areas are, whereas with most maps I can just look around and see what's going on.
Beyond that, I don't know. I'm sure my load out helps (MG). And I kinda try to force others to make the first move. There's far too many corners, so I wait for others to go around them. And I have never stayed on the grates for more than 3 seconds.

Okay, this is pretty cool
Messed around with the brush today. Seems to be great at covering ground and attacking if your team is doing really well and you have a lot of space to navigate, hide, and attack. If you don't... it completely stinks. The weapon would be perfect if it had a seeker sub to hide in the trailing ink.

Thanks! Yeah, I've gotten pretty decent with the MG. It fits my style pretty well. Any time I try to break out and try other weapons I make myself look pretty scrubbish. You're great with the chargers, though. Wish I could even do half as well.
And yeah, I'm on gaf all the time, but I don't post as much as others. And I don't usually play splatoon for more than an hour at a time, so I only go into gaf rooms when I really have time to wait and get into a lobby. It's always the most fun when the room is full of gaffers, though. Better than anything else in the game.

I was just on a roll tonight. At least half of my kills usually comes from my bomb spam, but the majority came from the E-Liter this time. You should see me on a bad streak. =P I think most of Charger SplatGAF is more consistent with aiming than I am.
I liked your use of the Seeker and Inkzooka. Really smart placement and aim. =D
Are sea snails some form of edible LSD then?

You don't even have to jump if you get close enough under them. Sitting ducks.
Roller's definitely tough on Kelp Dome with all its long sightlines and high perches. There's a ledge players can get to right from the spawn looking over the central area, and I haven't found a good way to attack people there with the roller, for example. I wasn't turning out as consistently strong performances as I did on other maps.
But as long as you have ink, you have a place to hide. You just need to be careful.
This game is surprisingly edgy for Nintendo.
The way the poor snails quiver in fear at Spykes feet is rather disturbing!

Suction Bombs seem pretty great for killing people on that walkway above. They never seem to notice 'em.
Haha sometimes. Had a few flubs on kelp dome. Apparently, if you don't time the initial throw correctly from spawn, the seeker will explode on the grate, spreading zero ink, and leaving you inkless, needing to reload for the first 6-7 seconds of the match. And of course I did that at least twice. lol. But if you time it right, you can travel all the way to the far ramp on the right path faster than anyone else, and then you're all reloaded and in position ready to kill anyone that comes by. And if nobody does, well then you get free territory.
Seeker is my absolute favorite sub weapon. Movement potential, decent ink spread, positioning, forcing options on the enemy, mindgames (oh god, the mind games), and decent kill potential.
But it also helps that we were on pretty seeker friendly maps, too.
What I can't wrap my head around is the burst bombs. Apparently some people use them well, but I sure can't.
They're good utility. Not offensive based unless I only need one more hit and the enemy is being tricky.

How is that even humanly possible? Are you using any advanced techniques that makes you way more efficient? Holy shit. Ive had games with the aerospray where I was inking the whole time and being as efficient as I could without one death and I still only got 1600 and that was with the bonus.

After declaring my affection for the custom blaster, I immediately went on an unfathomable losing streak dropping me to low C+. I reverted to the kraken roller and went on a splatting spree highlighted by a 21 kill game and culminating in my return to B rank. Feelings were felt.
Now that I have more experience with splat zones, I can better time unleashing the kraken to turn the match.
And my roller did just fine on the new map. Multiple approach options, can splash people on grates from below, climbable central plateau- I don't see the problem.

Its way too early to say that. I was struggling to learn the new map but, well, it's new.
And what tanks? There aren't any tanks in this game. Dynamos?

This game is ridiculously fun. The new map is...interesting. The play-style differs greatly from the previous maps which is nice, however the vertical hitboxes on some weapons really become ridiculous when you're on the upper railing, which is understandably needed to add risk to being in a advantageous position, however, I wish the visual cue matched the hitbox.
Miiverse just makes sense in this game. They nailed its integration, in each session I look at everyone in the plazza, knowing these people are the ones that play with you online, if you hadn't noticed.

They're slow because they're powerful. A wide arc that one shots up close. The gals are also slow because theyre strong (2hit kill).

I was using the aerospray and basically leveraging the higher ground from the grated spots all the time to give a ton of reach. The opposing team had 3 people that went >1200 and whupped us, so I spend most of the match just repainting their turf. I sort of tackle the map in an 8 figure and cross the sides into the center, use inkstrike to regain my ink while I'm over a grate and didn't die the entire match.
That's definitely an outlier, though I've been getting 1400-1600 really easily with the aerospray on kelp.
