americans i love you but you're craaaazy
Oh, im still trying to make sense of all this, like I said there is some component of misplaced empathy and self-indulgence. I do think its unfair to say that the response is outrage, just look at the first few pages and its mostly jokes, then people started to compare this to transgenders, how she is doing something good, how black people should uniformly approve this and some got rightly bothered by this paternalistic attitude. To be honest, I don't know what good she is doing. I just assumed that a leader of the NAACP would be doing good, but I guess that doesn't have to be the case. I'll believe your second sentence and assume she did do good during her time there. Yeah you're right that she could've done all that while identifying as white, but she didn't. I just don't see why that part in itself should be a cause for outrage. She did do good after all.
That picture where she's being narcissistic. Yeah that sucks. She probably is being narcissistic there.
Also in that other picture it looks like Tyrese is the one likelier to spread racial segregation, and she's just calling him out. I don't quite get how that picture puts her in a bad light.
Yeah I agree that there won't be much salvageable from this wreck, but I do think it's because of overreactions to her dishonesty. Idk man. I'm just trying to piece all this together.
She obviously has issues if she does that. She will probably get the fedora wearing lynchmob after her now.

probably not the best context to use the word lynchmob in
Huh?
So lemme get this straight... I'm supposed to be completely outraged when kids at Cochella and Burning Man wear feathered headdresses and gypsy-style gear because they are "appropriating a heritage" even though really all the vast majority are trying to do is look cool. But when a woman essentially wears blackface for years, lies to her husband, her community, the government, and her employer, ect...I'm supposed to act like it's all cool and it's basically the same thing as being transgendered?
Nah. I'm not buying that one.
Who the fuck is doing that? I'm not combing through 8 pages of nonsense
People will tear her apart and harrass her now to get a few laughs on sites like Reddit.
How is she lying to her husband? It looks pretty obvious:

im not even sure how this worked for so long she still looks fucking white
So her husband knew right? Please tell me her husband knew...
I have a question.
Who did she hurt by doing this? Like, even with all this controversy, I'm not seeing any of policies as NAACP leader being questioned.
I mean, Batman hid his identity for the greater good of Gotham. Are we sure this isn't a The Dark Knight scenario. "I'm whatever Spokane needs me to be, call it in".
I bet she got caught out because some co-worker saw Meet the Fockers, took a long look at the Barbra Streisand character and screamed out loud "That sister from work is white!".This!
This story is the first time I've ever heard of the woman. I've now seen many pictures and videos. I don't understand how people could think she's anything but white.
The whole thing is hilariously mental. It's like something from The Day Today.
Nah, there is, its just sort of indefinable in a direct sense. It's sort of in tangible but it certainly exists. Even Ben Carson has it to an extent. What is a black persona?
Its not a bait question, I dont think its fair that you should answer it either, there is simply no such thing as a black persona.
This!

It is a mental illness, in which a person repeatedly acts as if he or she has a physical, emotional or cognitive disorder when, in truth, he or she has caused the symptoms. People with factitious disorders act this way because of an inner need to be seen as ill or injured, not to achieve a concrete benefit, such as financial gain. They are even willing to undergo painful or risky tests and operations in order to get the sympathy and special attention given to people who are truly ill. [...] Factitious disorder imposed on self is associated with severe emotional difficulties.
Hahaomg this is gold
