Splatoon |OT2| Prepare to Dye

Assuming that (at the current time of day) there are now mainly European players on Splatoon, I get more players with lag by European players than I got with the Japanese players.

I have seen this happen twice. So far.

At Saltspary Rig someone goes painting the southern platform before coming to the Splat Zone. And I don't mean that they go through it, they paint each fucking inch of the platform, thorougly to be sure they don't leave a speck of colorless ground. In two different games. And both of these were in my team. Why!

And when there's only three doing the Splat Zone, there's no way to manage to take it or keep it. And when you lose it once, it's quite hard to get back.

Wtf.

our internet sucks. The shameful truth comes out now

did Japan get the new maps for the Splatfest?

I'm not having troubles finding a game in B+ Ranked, it takes the usual amount of time - between 30-90 seconds for games to fill up.

Anyhow I want some more matches on the Port Mackerel

I've been watching streams of this game and it makes me want to play it so freaking bad!

What I see as a pretty viable strategy, and one that I haven't seen many people do, is inking a small part on the wall and camping in it as a squid. It seems to me that players all but ignore the walls, as they don't count for points, and this seems like it would be an effective and sneaky method to defend those crucial choke points.

The more I play with the roller, the more I find the Kraken ability far too useful to pass up. Invul is nice, but the ability to climb walls you couldn't since you don't have a ranged to ink a wall is amazing.

I can't believe that the splatfest would mean I could no longer get a full game going. The queues are insane the last 20 minutes
Anyone asking for regional multiplayer should finally realize that isn't a good idea after all.

I don't understand how it's possible to play against A+ Player while majority of my team is B. This game doesn't want me to progress

Do you realize what you are actually saying here? You are simultaneously saying that your rank is lower than your actual skill, while everyone else's is completely accurate! This seems extremely unlikely.

You're not completely invisible on the walls, as you have to consistently press up on the wall to prevent yourself from falling off. I've done this a few times, but it only works when you know someone is coming around the corner and you jump off the wall as soon as they're in range just for the surprise factor.

Against any competent player if you sit on the wall for more than like 2 seconds they will notice you.

Yesterday I played with a guy who was horrible. Really, the team in which this guy landed always lost, no matter what the rest did. It was worse than playing 3vs4. He always stood still in the same spot throwing bombs, until he decided to jump into action and start getting into lines of fire, blocking allies or getting in their way, pushing them down ledges...his best record was 2 kills 4 deaths. He was level 15. As a charger myself he was extremely annoying and got me killed several times. Thing is I decided to watch him in a match and he really was trying to cover ground and do useful stuff...sometimes. In the end I just decided to switch lobbies to get rid of him. Can't remember his name, it was a japanese inkling girl with glasses and the squelcher. If you ever see him...run for your rank.

That'd be cool yeah, but you'd be easily spotted, especially on ranked where everyone's senses are up to 11.

There is this spot I want to try in Arowana Mall in terms of hiding (it is not the wall). It seems like it would be a good spot that no one would check..
Just watch the US Splatfest maps be Urchin Underpass, Port Mackerel, and Kelp Dome.
Japan has Urchin Underpass, Walleye Warehouse, and Kelp Dome. So two of those lol.

For Europe*

Japan would probably have it best for regional MP.

Exentryk if I can give you just a small tip: don't Super Jump so much. It's only useful in a few very certain kind of situations. Very often it's just easy way to die.

Man i need to add more of you folks. Violet alone isn't enough!

My NNID is it's in the Google doc in case you guys want to a add me. Please write "GAF" or something like that in the comment section so I know who you are.

Ranked is pretty dead as a A+. Games take ages to fill up and then it's mostly just a coin flip who gets the idiots using superjump 24/7 or the ones who don't really get the hold the point thing. Pretty boring to be honest.

I have same issue, im B+ and endlessly getting A's in my games, 50/50 it will only reward 8+- and other times normal 10
It ruins your rankings

I'm in such mood to play but i need to head out and buy some groceries first. :c

I could need some more active players on my friends list though. My NNID/Name is in the Google doc but might as well say it here too.

NNID: Jonke5

Alright, will join back after dinner. GGs.

Good games. I'll take a break too.

Also pretty funny that now people miss the lagging Japanese players :C It's pretty easy too see that Nintendo's concerns regarding not very robust player base was very well founded.

It does that when a game can't be filled for you (the B team) or found (the A+ player).

Splatfests, revealing the matchmaking flaws...(such as no players in morning in Europe :P )

oh hey Callie is team Rock/Cat, you lose team Marie

was it like this (it's the Mama gif, just so you know)

post #6. I don't think anyone from my list is online now. If you send out invites you should mention that you're from GAF

Heh, opposite for me. I'm for Marie, Pop, and Dog. I fear the world is not big enough for the two of us.

Superior Marie and her deadpan ice queen eyes.

Special Charge Up seems like the obvious third main for a kraken roller, but I'm back to using Swim Speed Up. Appears to help in avoiding subs and specials.

oh my god

i just rolled an item and Spyke gave me the exact same 3 abilities in a different order.

It's stuff like this I don't like about the game, what's the point? Other games figured out how to make loadouts work years ago. The gameplay = spot on. Some other stuff makes you shake your head in bafflement.
