I had a similar problem a few months back. They had to send me a new one. Make sure you tell them you're in the preview program if you contact tech support. (They should know but just to be sure they check)

Aww, Twin's avatar made stinkles sad.
Mine died, tried a bunch of stuff couldn't get it working. Then I just unplugged my Xbox one, and power supply as well, and the kinect. Left it unplugged for a day and it worked again.
Unplugging it for 5 minutes didn't work for me.

That means you missed updates in between. 2 gigs is the size of a full update. 270-ish is an incremental update from the previous build.

Forgot to add, i also pressed the power button a few times after unplugging everything to drain out whatever left power is in there.

Hope Microsft do as Sony did at Gamescom a couple of years ago when they released 2.0 for PS3. Right at the end of the conference they released the big update.
My kinects been messing up recently as well, and I was going to return it as well. Decided to turn instant on on my Xbox off and suddenly my kinect started working again. Turned instant on back on again and my kinect would turn off after five minutes.
So maybe yours is having the same problem. Turn instant on off and see if that fixes the kinect.
While I'd love it I don't see that happening. How they're handling previews and keeping features in for two months so that they can fix more bugs this would be a total opposite of that behavior.
We'll probably get a sneak peek, maybe they start a new, deeper preview program focusing on the W10 build.
If early Windows 10 is anything to go by I'd rather keep the old system for a month. I've been waiting for background music for 1.5 years, I can deal with it for a month more.

Well, Windows 10 is out at the end of the month, it would make sense for them to roll out the Windows 10 Xbone Edition to previewers this month.

Windows 10 releases at the end of July. Also Phil Spencer has already stated XB1 W10 update would be after that.

Thank you , I really appreciate it.
What's weird is I always check the update console section in settings every day as my machine is in use every day. And I also hate turning it on to use it and having an update pushed to it.
And their was a prior normal sized update the day before the big one. And another one yesterday as well.
Guess we'll see tomorrow.

Yeah it wouldn't make any business sense anyway. BC is useful for manufacturers to extend the library of a new console and give it more appeal for new buyers, but this far into the generation it would only take the gamers' focus away from the new releases.

I hope they release this on the spot during the conference. I'm not sure they'll do that though. I vaguely remember PS doing something along those lines in the past though.
