Splatoon |OT2| Prepare to Dye

Those side routes could be very useful, especially in ranked play or as a roll-out in Turf Wars.

Knowing what people do in other games I'm sure some will be able to nail the roll-out every time and it be as fast as normal travel to the center.

The August update.

Really? Maybe I should have read up before complaining, still August is pretty far away.

Ah well, it works alright for now.

I'm totally going to get some games in before the Sony Conference tonight, but once that starts I'm locked in on it.

Think this path could be useful, if inked up?

That looks like more trouble than it's worth.

Splatoon competitive scene doesn't need Nintendo to suceed. Once matchmaking is available, the community will have enough resources to hold tourneys.

Of course developers support help, but many competitive communities lasted for many years without any kind of even acknowledgement from official sources. Others died even with intense support and desire.

In the end, the competitive sucess of a game relies only on the players. If they have the desire to play it competitively, it will be.

It takes a lot of work to get it inked, it's easy for the enemy to spot you jumping onto the path, and it's awkward to actually navigate corner paths.

Short vertical routes are efficient, repaintable, and easy to use. So we'll likely only ever see Spots 1 and 3 get used.

I know you mentioned not all Jr. players are like that. I just wanted you to know that I get a ton of kills without my bubbler on (Skies too). So I'm not really dependent on it. Just ask around :)

I don't doubt it... There are really good Captain Falcon players in Smash 4, as well.

that's some evil, evil shit you pulled there my friend

Life is hard on these Inkopolis streets, playgrounds and malls.

Know what's a weird sensation? Playing this game exclusively for a while then going back to a normal controller. Feels tiny and strange, like your friend giving you that bootleg pad back in the day.

I played for a few hours today. Other than that, E3 mode.

I still find splat zones a whole lot of fun, especially when there's a good back and forth between the teams as opposed to one team dominating.

yeah I'd much rather lose in a match that goes the full 5 minutes and trades control a lot than win in a knockout

splat zones is fucking epic when both teams are on their game

Laggy Japanese rollers at peak EU time, why? I'm assuming the game did shit in Europe if I'm still getting 50% Japanese at this time.

It held the number 2 spot after the Witcher for a few weeks but actual numbers were just okay. Can't find the threads right now.

I'm feeling the blues right now watching EA. >_>

They killed E3 for me.
Ooh, do tell. I'm skipping them so I don't know what they're doing

Takorka and splash mob gear seems quite rare, been looking for them (with good main abilities) and it's hard.

Also I love just running around the hub looking at peoples drawings and gear. Such a nice touch watching them dance or the haters gonna hate walk.

No one playing? EA too boring
I'm at work T_T If only I can justify dragging a Wii U up to my desk with Splatoon, or running off to do "miscellaneous tasks" for a couple hours...

The only "conference" I'm invested in is Nintendo's. Everyone else's conference I'll catch up later on.

I observed today that I rarely have any domination since I got into the B ranks. It usually ends due to time.

Sorry if I'm on your team right now playing turf war to learn chargers. I cover no ground but do get the occasional kill with the E-liter 3K. Getting a kill with the chargers is so satisfying, Kelp Dome on turf war is impossible but Urchin Underpass is awesome.

It's so refreshing stepping away from Roller/Blaster gameplay to something that requires precise aiming.

This probably has been asked and anwsered a lot, but how is the game in sigle player content? I know it's a weird thing to ask but I really don't like multiplayeronly games...

It's 5-6 hours SP Campaign, personally I haven't finished it so I can't comment on how good it is - I've only done two of the areas. Very different from the multiplayer, but I bet people who are good at platforming would also be pretty good in the multi. The good thing about Splatoon is that movement plays into the game quite a lot. I would recommend you try Turf Wars after doing the SP, the multi is brilliant.

Just played with someone named XPlayAdam lol

Won a match today with one 1 point ahead in Ranked. Feels good to be the leading person on that team.

Don't get this game if you aren't going to play multiplayer.
The single player is ok. But it takes like 4~6 hours tops to do everything, and can be easily beaten in less than that.

The single player is really good, the levels remind me of Mario Galaxy a lot, but it's rather short, only 5 hours or so. Wouldn't mind getting a longer stand alone Splatoon single player game in the future.

Its okay for what it is but for $60? No, not at all. I'm not typically a multiplayer person either but I've been playing it a ton, its fun.
