GOD DAMNIT I KNOW THEY ARE WORKING ON BG&E 2!
LOOK AT IT

Héral played music and Ancel showed some artwork, that was just a year ago.
It's going to happen. It has to happen.......just.....stop hurting me

Maybe i'm way off but it starts to feel like when every single year without fail people are disappointed by E3 press conferences, that at some point you need to re-assess what you are really expecting from these shows.

I want the game I played back when I enjoyed video games, but new, and not disappointing!

I thought Bethesda was really good, Ubi was good, too, but I don't fully trust them with what they show at these conferences. EA was complete garbage and I didn't care about anything at MS.

So yeah, pretty decent E3 so far.

Alright, decision time. Blackhawks playing for the Stanley Cup, Brock Lesnar appearing on RAW, and possible Final Fantasy VII remake on Sony's press conference.

Stanley Cup + Sony. Mute whichever is in commercials/intermission or EA level awfulness.

That's my take as well. Maybe slightly less excited about Bethesda, but only slightly so.

Nah I'm getting exactly what I expected from these. I'm just being a negative asshole because I love making fun of EA and Ubisoft.

Also some part inside of me has 1% hope that one of these companies is going to announce something insane.

Why does Ubi still use Tom Clancy's name in their games? I'm looking up the wikipedia article on his games and it looks like half of them are not based on any of his books and he died before The Division was a thing.

I think Trackmania looked the best out of everything they showed. Shout outs to Trials though, and a South Park sequel was seriously unexpected.

I've got time to watch one press conference from today before Sony starts. Which one should I do?
EA had great negative reactions to the shit show
Microsoft was mostly neutral, but the life draining out of their eyes during this one made it dreadful.
Ubisoft was the first entertaining conference with funny commentary.

So far the only straight up bad conference was EA. It was a chore to sit through.

Bethesda was OK, Microsoft was pretty good, Ubisoft was slightly better then OK. Ubisoft's biggest problem is how well they present at E3 only to later release games that aren't half as good as they look at debut. So it's hard to trust about half of the games they showed today. I want to get excited about that Ghost Recon game but I feel like I have to see about three more previews before I'm convinced it's going to be the same game they showed on the stage today.

Ubisoft has bought the rights to that name. They'll continue to use it forever

For the most part, it's been pretty good. Ubisoft was just kinda boring and EA focused too much on sports but that's to be expected. Microsoft was solid and Bethesda was great.

EA was the only fucking terrible one.

Same reason EA still uses the Madden name, despite the fact that he retired years ago.

Austin did really well by the way. Funny and knowledgable, fits right in. What a great hire.

I like how the sidebar of Giant Bomb is just dominated by Alex tweeting like a mad fiend
It's weird watching him on stream and having the tweets pop up.

Funny thing is, I set the bar real real low and it am still unimpressed year in and year out.

Granted I know I am no longer the target audience. I don't buy enough I don't engage enough etc. I am okay with that.

There are still surprises here and there and that makes it worth watching for me. I mean Unravel is going to be bought by me. So there's that.

It's incredibly impressive how natural he is already with everyone. You'd think he and Jeff have been going back and forth for years. Seems like an awesome dude.

What did Bethesda do so well? Show a Fallout that looks like ass? Show a CG trailer for a mediocre stealth game? Show an incredibly brown Doom?

Everything looked average at best and even if you're a huge fan of open world titles with shit writing and terrible mechanics nothing announced was unexpected.
