This is not going to improve by much imho

I really believe that they are happy to release this and that they have passion about the project but a part of me feel that they also want to get this out of the way and never deal with it again.

Looked like it needs a couple more years of development...

If it wasn't called The Last Guardian and you were seeing it for the first time what would you think about what they showed? This game will never live up to the standard it's been given.
 
I love how people complain developers are not doing anything new. When a game like TLG and media molecules game is announced first thing they say is "Looks boring" because it is not fast paced action.

I'll also say the game itself really doesn't look like it got a significant upgrade from the 2009 trailer.

wtf you know as much as everyone else, aka nothing. What else are we supposed to be judging? This game has been stuck in development hell for the better part of a decade and it looks almost 1:1 the exact same as it did when it was first revealed. These are not the signs of a productive development. Basing all your faith in the pedigree of the developers is fine, but being disappointed in what we've seen isn't exactly outrageous
 
Gameplay looks like ICO with the giant cat/griffin thing. As someone who preferred ICO to SOTC, I'm in love, although I am going to check doesthegriffindie.com before I play.

I teared up. Shadow of the Colossus was one of my favorite PS2 games, which I played at like age 11. I saw The Last Guardian at age 13. This moment was very, very special.

I'm personally not that excited for the game but I am happy for a lot of the people who have been waiting and believing in this. For real, I was getting super excited when they just straight up announced it because I knew that large parts of this place would explode in joy.

Not a game from 10 years ago? Janky movement, collision was all over the place, graphics were sub-par (but w/e I'm all about gameplay so I won't even stress that), puzzle elements were horrible (push this off ledge).

I'm not saying it won't be great, but if that's the best segment they could show off right now then yeesh. Maybe it isn't a game that trailers well but if that were any other game in any other conference people would of shat all over it.
