I think Evilore should invert the size the logo and put Believe bigger... just for 1 day.

All of us who believed in TLG, we are redeemed.

Sony gave us everything we wanted, and a few things we didn't know we wanted.

Rewind a few weeks or months back and say that the Sony conference at E3 2015 will have TLG, FFVII Remake and Shenmue in it and you'll be laughed out of GAF.

I seriously don't get the negativity towards either MS or Sony's conference... I guess maybe I'm more easy to please but I felt Sony fired on all cylinders tonight.

1) TLG isn't vaporware and has a release date (sure it may get pushed back to the summer, but it's coming)
2) FF7 remake (I hate timed exclusives, but am glad XB1 gamers can play it too eventually)
3) Shenmue 3!! The Kickstarter is already at $860,000 (EDIT: $916,000 and rising) and it's for PC and PS4 only...admittedly it's been so long since I last played 1 and 2, but damn I think it's cool to finally get 3.
4) Horizon looked very interesting
5) UC4 looked...well like UC, which is a good thing.
6) The conference didn't drag on
7) See 6)

Sure, there wasn't any announcements for exclusives this year, but when the fall line up consists of 3rd party games like Fallout 4, Battlefront and CoD I think they're playing it smart with just the UC collection.

Yup, the hyperbole is insane though. People are acting like Sony has moved mountains or something when all they've done is announce games that are still very very far off.

I still don't understand what people are so hyped about. If this conference took place in 2016, then sure, but it feels like they just took their 2016 E3 material and crammed it into this.

What do you want? The marketing cycle for games is so long now that there simply isnt much to announce that can launch in less than 6 months.

see, when i talk about pacing and presenting shit, that's what i meant. show your best stuff, not everything. they kept the conference to 90 minutes this year, which is their shortest conference in a while. as absolutely unexcited as i could possibly be for ffvii remake (because another nomura final fantasy game in an ocean world of nomura final fantasy games is really grating to me on a personal level), that shit is huge.

last guardian is something i have mixed feelings on. it's sort of like final fantasy versus xiii resurfacing where now i'm no longer looking forward to the product because too much time has passed. instead of excitement, there's just exasperation. on the other hand, it's about goddamn time (like releasing a 25 year old rom).

the big surprise was actually shenmue iii though, the game that wasn't going to happen without fan support and will happen sometime tonight. this was a franchise that was dead, that after ten years of clamoring for, is being revived. it's like kid icarus for sega or something. i'm backing it, but i seriously need a physical ps4 version somewhere.

while i might have mixed thoughts on all of these games (well, shenmue iii is super positive all around), this conference will go down as the one where sony revealed final fantasy vii remake, shenmue iii, and the last guardian all at once. it's a really positive thing that happened. these are all products that people can play and get excited for. this is not the shitty move of two years ago when they announced that the ps4 would have the same features as the ps1 by not copying the competition, and then amidst a cheering crowd, announced a shitty way they were copying the competition. and because there were no blunders or serious down points in their conference this year, i think it will go down as one of the most memorable ever. i don't know if such a trifecta can ever be hit like that ever again. maybe half-life 3, beyond good & evil 2, and skies of arcadia 2.

actually, that would be way better.

hew the f are these posters downplaying this conference? it's one of the greatest ever lmao

Not everyone cares about FF7, Shenmue. It was a good conference but you can't expect everyone to be jumping up and down with fanboy levels going through the roof over games they did not play or have interest in.

TLG, FF7 and Shenmue 3 did nothing for me. Horizon on the other hand looks like an amazing game.

Best Sony conference by far and overall best E3 conference in history. Man, I'm still shaking.

And sharing it with
what survived of
GAF made it even sweeter.

How did they make history exactly?

It was a good conference, but nothing as mind blowing as people are putting. It's just a sneak peak of the 2016 conference.

Shenmue 3, the long awaited Last Guardian and a remake for the beloved FFVII were all announced. This will be looked back on in terms of E3 history as being one of those 'moments.'

Of all the new new stuff, Horizon and Firewatch are now on my most wanted list.

SOOOO stoked about Firewatch...the artstyle, the location...

Best Sony E3 conference ever! The amount of desication to game announcements, demos, and trailers truly impressed me. Thank God Sony decided to get rid of lengthy TV crap and make their conference all about games. Well not to mention all the megations they dropped during the show. Sony just literally crushed everyone. Congratulations to them!

So the conference had Horizon, Uncharted footage, new SFV characters, DLNA support, world of FF, etc. Etc. Etc. Oh and TLG, shenmue 3 AND FINAL FANTASY 7 RE and people are saying 4/10? If this wasn't the best conference ever it was damn close.

Plus, this leaves soooo much for the other conferences (bloodborne dlc, GOW, GT7, quantic, gravity rush, etc.)

This was hands down the best press conference I have ever seen.

The Last Guardian... I cried.
FF7 Remake... I cried and jumped across the room.
Shenmue III... I just exploded.

That and No Man's Sky, Black Ops III, Uncharted 4, Horizon... holy fuck, did Sony just sell me a PS4 big time. That was so unbelievably incredible, I can't even put it in words.
Best E3 ever and best press conference ever. Yeah, I'm full of hype, but DAMN, do I have reasons to be hyped.

once you get over the hype of the trinity the Sony conference was honestly kinda weak in comparison to microsoft. Seriously though whoever designed this e3 for sony was a genius since this is all everyone will talk about for this years e3 for many years unless Squareenix and Nintendo has something that could top this show.

oh yeah i also felt that the sony conference should have been a bit longer for persona , dragonquest game, and an indie reel.

Who is? Lol.

Sony wrecked. That was a landslide winning conference.

Dang landslide? Thats crazy talk maaaaannnn! Tell me what happened. Tell me the exclusive things that make it a landslide. I need to be enlightened.

Ff7 remake is multi
Shenmue is multi

The last guardian still running on its ps3 engine. Cool puzzle though. Finally, many ppls wishes came true.

Uncharted looked fun and amazing as expected. Naughty dog is superb.

No mans sky is continuing to amaze me. That level of exploration. They Literally made a never ending digital world ...from what ive seen. However its multi too.

Right now the only reason for me to buy a ps4 in 2015 is unchar... Wait thats 2016 too.. Fuck =/

I need to know what exclusives for the ps4 are in 2015 holiday. I needs my xmas list updated!

Im being serious ans sincere. It may seem it at first but i really need this info. Like my eyes were set on getting one this year.. Now idk. Should i wait till uncharted 4 then??

The Deep Space 9 "Where was The Last Guardian ?" gif is toast

edit: gif needs updating to Half Life 3 as everything else is covered off and assuming Y2Kev gets demodded then its a perfect day all round.

This conference proves that gamers will NEVER be satisfied.

We had hype announcements.

We had graphical showpieces.

We had great gameplay demos

We had amazing third party support

But, since FF7 is only timed, it's not as important or something. TLG isn't the graphical showpiece, so it's not exciting anymore even though the animations look incredible. Horizon and UC4 we already know about, so yea. Media Molecule is trying to let users share there dreams, but that's whatever. Morpheus seems amazing, yet Sony just showed a snippet of it and told everyone the real experience is putting it on. I mean, they did 95% of this conference correctly. And COD, Destiny, and Battlefront actually looked amazing!

Don't get me wrong, the conference was awesome, but I'm shocked at what we DIDNT see:

Bend's game
Bloodborne DLC
GT7
Crash Bandicoot
Uncharted Date
1TB PS4/$349 500GB model
... soooo, you're saying you wanted Sony to have a 5hr conference? Uhm, I guess I'm with you on that though, I could barely handle the epicness of 2hrs. 5hrs of this type of epicness would have had me in the emergence ward.

Great conference / fan service.

I dont really care about Shenmue (900k already), or FF, or TLG, but excitement is cool.

Horizon looked great - i didnt expect it to look so good overall... MM game looked great. I dont care about Batman but holy crap, that was a twist, did we know about "zombies" before. AC with female protagonist? Awesome.

UC4 looked huge and amazing...

Also - Media Player with DLNA? quickly checked, seems to work fine. Still gonna use my plex but for those that dont have any other option....

No Mans Sky looked amazing again.

And Battlefront - demo they showed looked a lot nicer than one I quickly checked out on YT before... thats gonna be huge.

I'm not a fan of two of the three but no way can I ignore how big the announcements of these decade long rumors are

Sony won fair and Square

People who are complaining about that conference clearly don't know what e3 is about.

E3 is about making people excited, making people dream.

Sony just did that and more.

They literally could have walked out, announced those 3 games, dropped the mic and left.

In fact, that exactly what they should have done.

Shenmue is coming 2017, best case scenario. Last Guardian still seems a ways off. No release date for FFVII. If anything, they've just made 2 more Last Guardians.
