Come on man, this is not being made with 2 million. Someone is likely footing the bill once they see the demand for it( quite likely Sony)

And that triggered funding source is most likely Sony.
In for a PS4 digital copy. Would have backed higher but none of the mid tier rewards interest me.

Okay, that actually sounds reasonable. In this instance, "butchered" is the epitome of hyperbole. If the dub is the primary (only?) point of contention, as previously mentioned, this is a simple fix.
Of course, a game like this deserves to be played on Sega's go-to platform.

Got my pledge in, will actually be my first Shenmue. However a game this beloved, to elicit this type of reaction, has to be special.

I've got two mates ready to buy PS4s for this. Have to wonder if an Xbox One stretch goal will eventually appear. I think they'd prefer to not have to buy a console, but they want this game so bad. One mate pledged $300AU!!!

It's only $2m, which is extremely little to ask for a project like this. The agreement between Yu and Sony was probably that it needed to prove fan interest by funding its Kickstarter. I'm certain Sony is putting in double digits on the marketing budget, if not the same for development.

The demo is PC only. It's also the only platform to get a physical release. It looks like PC is the lead platform.

Since then I've been between twitter, here and other sites just laughing at the reactions. My 16 year old self would be proud...my current 33 year old self due in work in an hour an a half is fucked though...but I don't care!
Not likely to be the brunt; all Sony are doing is likely preventing an Xbox One version. Could be Shibuya Productions listed at the end who have funded other projects and do quite a bit judging from their site. If Sony are involved more, they would make a big deal out of it

I was all set to back this but I can't. No physical PS4 means I'm going to wait to see if there is one announced later. I don't wanna get burned and none of the extras jump out either. It's going to get funded but I see no reason for me to jump in now.

Like a 15 year weight has been lifted off his shoulders, I'd imagine. He was sidelined by Sega and a lot of people probably still look at him as responsible for their downfall, though he denies it. He's been out of the spotlight for a looooong time.
It's coming to PC as well.
