Horizon: Zero Dawn Trailer (Guerrilla, post-apocalyptic pre-historic adventure)

OK, so very easily, the most annoying thing is the protag talks WAY too much.

It looked like a tutorial level. My guess is that is why she was talking too much. She was giving some context as to what she was doing, like shooting the canister after it was full. Also, how to take down the big guy. For example, she needed to convey that she needs to get under it to shoot the lid. My guess is that she stops doing that after couple of tries.

Looked pretty good, but the protagonist talking about every little thing you do was very grating for me. I also would've liked to see if there's any melee combat outside of takedowns.

After watching again I agree, but I think it's for the sake of the demo. This particular scene probably is not even a part of the game.

Then why do they look like dinosaurs? See this is why you dont start trying to make sense of it. Just acknowledge that there is no way this makes sense and roll with it.

* This game proves robot dinosaurs are cool.
* In the future, when people can create fully autonomous robots, they'll want to make cool ones.
* The age of robot dinosaurs begins, and the age of man ends.

This, to me, shows how Capcom is dropping the ball with not bringing Monster Hunter to current-gen. I know they can't really be compared, but in many ways this reminds me of Monster Hunter.

Too much inner monologue, which is what I hope just for the purposes of this gameplay trailer.. but this just looks amazing.

Great concept but really bland art direction.

Not sure what your opinion of good arts is. It's a fcking post-apocalypse with robot dinosaurs and female tribal protagonist weilding futuristic tribal armories. If that's bland arts I don't know what's good arts anymore.

This was great, but I hope the protagonist learns to STFU when sneaking around robo dinos.

I know it was likely a tutorial, but still.

I love how Guerrilla Games is finally making a game with quick movement and mobility.

Comes under 'Why would I want to explore the universe?'
If you get to find out why there are robot dinosaurs in the world through exploring, then sure, I'm all for that. But if the exploration reveals other things but never really explains why there are robot dinosaurs to begin with... I'm OK with that too.

Because robot dinosaurs.

Civilization falls. Nature takes over. Cavemen. Robot dinosaurs. Cavemen kill them. Pacifist lady sad for strangling little robots.

That's all we know so far and it seems really silly so far. Game looks super fun, but come on, its a game crafted around those concept arts of like darth vader riding a dinosaur that shoots lasers out of its eyes, that just happen to look really pretty.

Thats the best story I could think of. What's silly about it?

Man, I feel like the color palette is really similar to Destiny with real saturated blues, reds and such.

It looks soo good and the gameplay looks top notch as well. Add to that the writer for New Vegas and shit you might have a big new IP here.

I wonder how the Multiplayer will be.

Do you fight robo-dinos controlled by other players similar to Evolve… or will you battle competing tribes? Hmmmm

This. Robot dinosaurs are self-justifying entities.

I want this much more than FF7 Re The last Gaurdian and Shenmue 3 combined....

please be good.

also I bet someone at Capcom said FUCK when he saw the T-Rex fight!

Man this looks great.
The combat system looks like a lot of fun and I'm loving the whole mecha dinosaur concept.
I'm plesantly surprised by the main character, specially after the lineup of boring generic soldiers in their past games.

If they can make the open world interesting and give it good enemy variety this should be amazing

I love everything about this but I really hate how the MC talks way too damn much.

Yeah, it's the one thing I didn't like about it.
Hopefully it's just some silly thing they added to the demo

This game looks incredible and is the main reason why I'll be choosing a PS4 over a Xbox One to compliment my Wii U. I love the look of it. The world seems so imaginative and colourful. Really can't wait to see and hear more about it. Beautiful.

My mouth was open the entire time watching that. I'm shocked how awesome this looks. I love everything about what I saw. Not sure why people dislike the talking. I felt engaged.

This is something special. I'm all in
