For what?
A game very few of them liked the first time around getting remade in lieu of a new game? (FF7)
A game that has been in development hell for two console generations, only to get re-announced with ANOTHER nebulous release date? (TLG)
A sequel to a game very few of them hold any reverence for, which was not even an announcement, but a plea for money?(ShenIII)
They really liked Horizon, even though they've never been big Guerilla fans. They thought Uncharted 4 looked nice, but worried it would be more of the same with no eye to solving problems with the previous games. Brad liked Destiny, and everyone seemed to latch onto the Devolver Digital stuff. I think they could be a little more receptive of Firewatch, but most of them (especially Jeff) have generally not been big on "story-heavy, gameplay-lite" games.
I totally agreed with Austin's assessment of the show afterward: 3 distinct parts, but only the new stuff was all that interesting, unless you hold special reverence for their clear nostalgia part.
