Even with knowledge, it's not like it's super easy to just make advanced weapons. If you went to a random remote village hidden in the jungle, and gave them every bit of knowledge needed to create a modern day gun, they would be able to do very little with it.

You need a fairly advanced infrastructure to mine natural resources, smelt ores, create and cast metal alloys, and finally manufacture a weapon. It's a huge undertaking.

By the looks of it, no. Let me recheck. Ok at 3:20, when the trex first shows up, it scares off some geese that look like geese (like not robotic, they may be under fake skin but I doubt it). Theres also a shot of fish swimming up stream.

Maybe the machines saw humans as a threat to them because humans were a threat to their home (Earth) so they set out to destroy the humans to save earth then started to create a sustainable robot dino food chain.... i dont know.. im tired.

Robot dinosaurs are less realistic than, say, a giant mutant lobster that burrows under the ground and shoots poison at you.

I think the real complaint here is that the trailer provides no explanation why the people are living with primitive technology when they can easily kill these robots that are loaded with technology. It's a GG game though, I don't expect it to make a lot of sense so perhaps my standards are too low.

They can get close, but scratch building something like a firearm isn't easy. Requires some pretty good tools and tolerances to produce the rifle itself, and good luck recreating smokeless powder without some serious skill in chemistry.

A big issue with modern tech is it's not often the work of a single person or group, it's the result of thousands of people in hundreds of specializations.

Looks insane, the animations, the destructible environment, the way parts of the robo dino chip off, the exposed wiring, the way it stumbles due to be being tethered, it looks bloody insane.

Can't believe people are expecting an announcement trailer/demo to reveal every detail about the world. Until we actually know more than the concept of the game people trying to find inconsistencies are just talking out their asses.

And it's weird that I never see people refusing to play Mass Effect because of all it's bullshit premises (e.g., faster-than-light communication).

Nitpick: Game should have either been called Horizon or Zero Dawn, not one with the other as a sub-title. Or preferably just Zero Dawn. Horizon is the sort of vague title like Destiny that inspires nothing.

And those people are in the top 1% of fighters on the planet when you consider how big the planet is. Which Ronda would be in as well. So why the fuck does a ultra skilled and tough female not meet your qualification as a suitable hero or protagonist?

I see at the end you are moving the goalposts from essentially "woman aren't believable as heroes because men are physically better" to "relatability" which signals to me you are realizing how absurd your original premise is if we take it at face value.

Waking up and catching up, graphics were good, combat was looking utterly generic until she started roping down the Dino, that was pretty cool.

Stuck in workshops all day, intrigued to read more tonight

Guerrilla already debuted a game with gameplay and released it with improvements this gen and this isn't coming three years after it was announced.

Sony don't really do downgrades tbh. Shadow Fall, DriveClub, Knack, InFamous Second Son, The Order 1886 etc, all received upgrades and improvements by launch if anything.
 
I'm going to be re-watching this gameplay segment many times over in the coming months. It just blew my mind and surpassed expectations. Looked so much fun to play.
