Tak Hirai said:Takeshi Hirai is the lead programmer for the Shenmue series. In 2010 founded the independent game development studio, Neilo Inc, producing Orgarythm for the Playstation Vita and the Japanese arcade version of Left 4 Dead: Survivors.
Kenji Miyawaki said:Shenmues main character design artist. After working with SEGA, Kenji Miyawaki went on to do mechanical and prop design for anime including the Bakugan series, Maken-Ki! Battling Venus and Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan: Demon Capital.

His long list of work includes composition and arrangement for albums, movies, TV programs, concerts and events. Among his video game credits are Exstetra and Spectral Force Legacy.

And they said there is no market for Shenmue 3 ...
hope they open up paypal now and see it go higher
The ~$80 given per backer isn't even that high. This is being driven by the sheer number of them so far.
And done

Wait there actually was a Shenmue 3, FF7 Remake and Last guardian at Sony's E3. It wasn't a dream then. Holy shit. And holy shit at the rate this has collected money.
Err is that a comparison to that star commander whatever thingy ?
Who said that? And they said there is no market for Shenmue 3 ...
Man, reading those project members bios is kind of depressing.
What the Japanese game industry has become.
Just checked and i'm backer #24506 lol

10 hours and we're going for stretch goals.
Just made me look up my backer number, #20071.
holy moly...
It's amazing seeing people who have never played the original Shenmue games funding it, you guys rock.
what's worrying is that most of the shenmue fans will be backing this KS, and getting a game as a result of it. when/if Shenmue 3 is actually released, all of the target fanbase will have already received the game as part of the KS perks and wont be able to buy this game.
i suspect this game will flop hard, maybe 100k copies at most if it reaches retail at all.
Me too #9509
Goddamn I've been so happy today because of this.
I need to play the originals again. Don't think I have a way of hooking up my Dreamcast to my TV though with the old input. What is Dreamcast emulation like on PC?
Fine for the most part. I haven't used it for a long time though and AFAIK it still needs a BIOS file unfortunately.

Who would've thought an FFVII remake would be announced and it would be the furthest thing from my mind.
I'll look in to it this afternoon I think. It's good having old consoles and then you realise you have no way to use them with modern displays!
Michael Huber's reaction was legendary. The excitement, the literal tears of joy and disbelief, the emotional roller coaster...amazing.
