This is why Nintendo doesn't do live events at E3 anymore. They announce games when they are relatively close to launch. They will probably have an event in the fall to announce more Wii-U titles for 2016.
They aren't going to abandon Wii-U but they had their lineup for Wii-U this year. Mario Maker, Star Fox, Xenoblade, and Yoshi are going to close out 2015. Fire Emblem will be the start of 2016 and Zelda will be holiday 2016 most likely. I am sure they will announce more for 2016 in typical Nintendo fashion aka whenever the hell they feel like (I think they usually want stuff to be closer to finished before they launch).
Although I will say one thing this was a really good show for the 3-DS really shows they plan another good generation of games for it and that they probably won't be replacing it till 2017. Metroid, Zelda, and Mario Tennis among others was a strong showing for that system. Wii-U on the other hand was weak, not much support for that system outside of what had been previously announced.

The successor system isn't ready, but rather than go for a big blow out to show off the old systems potential and get the current owners hyped, they've just given up and moved on.
They need their Last of Us like games, stuff that can be 'remastered' to draw in new customers on NX, and keep the diehards happy and talking about it.

The WiiU overall is a joke completely. Yes, obviously they're shifting focus to NX but why would anyone have any faith that they'll do better with that? They've not given you any reason to be confident.
Was enjoyable to watch, but light on meat. Star fox looks solid, finally a Xenoblade release date, Mario Maker should be good. Seems like it would have been better as a Direct later on and not tossed in with the breathless hype machines that are the Sony/MS presentations. Nothing in it that really made me sit up and take notice.
Props for sticking to through early 2016 though. All the games being shown for 2017 on by everyone is very grated to me - anything coming out, between the various conferences, after next E3 might as well have been a pointless Blur made CG trailer for all the relevance it would have.

It's been a really low-key presentation but a highlight for me is Mario Tennis. I asked for it before and I got it.
Probably the biggest disappointment is that the AC Wii U game is an amiibo party game.
Also, is Federation Forge Retro's game?

Wow. When they said neither Zelda nor the NX would be talked about, I was sure there'd be some kind of a big surprise to take their place. But there was... well, there was a lot of stuff that was announced at last year's E3. And a couple of nice 3DS announcements, but nothing surprising.
It's shows like this one that reinforce the notion that Nintendo is out of ideas. There wasn't even anything on a Project STEAM level of creativity.

It's quite clear that they wanted to focus on games that would be available soon, because companies often get a lot of flack for doing otherwise. The issue was, as many people have pointed out previously, we knew a lot of what Nintendo had to offer for the Wii U in the coming months. It's one of the problems with having an almost bi-monthly Direct.
That being said, I'm glad the 3DS is getting a lot of support. I was a bit worried that they had abandoned it. However, there were only a few games that I was genuinely excited about it.

Terrible conference. Not only was the conference terrible, it was boring. Why? Because it nearly had no announcements. I wanna see games and not humans. And then, to slap you in the face, they are shitting on the Metroid franchise.

My emotions aren't really running high or anything. I wasn't expecting much from this. But if I had to describe this event in one word, it would be "dull."
Started off really promising, then Skylanders came along and all the other stuff that no one ever asked for. I had low expectations but somehow they still managed to let me down.
Highlights are, to me, Mario & Luigi and Starfox, the worst ones were Animal Crossing Monopoly and Mario Tennis.
I really hope that this at least points towards a strong start for the NX.

I can see how the it was disappointing for some. Personally I'm excited to play a new Star Fox and Zelda this year.
The WiiU finally seems to be doing fine....now this.
The Wii U is an amazing little system and I loved what time I spent with it, but it is so obviously on the way out. Looking forward to what they are cooking with NX.

I doubt they will even talk about wii u next e3, they're obviously focusing development on zelda and maybe Metroid and other ip on nx,starfox zero will probably be the last big Nintendo franchise on the system, wii u is a sinking ship for sure now, i dont expect any new games for it outside of the ones already announced.

That's all it has now. Looks like they're giving up on it as soon as possible. I'll play every one of the good games already out, but buying a brand new system for only the backlog sucks.
