I get the feeling that Zelda will be cross-platform if not completely moved to whatever the NX is.It really is seeming more likely that no WiiU games were greenlit after 2014. Whats on the horizon for the system? Zelda, FExSMT, AC, Yoshi, Mario Maker?
Guys chill out... it wasn't even that bad. Lol
So that's why Iwata didn't show up, he was scared of the e3 mob after this direct.
I don't understand how everyone thinks this conference is worse than the Vitality Sensor and the failure of the Wii Music reveal
The entire thing felt like it was aimed at children. Nothing but kiddy games. Children aren't the people who watch e3. The more mature games like Devil's Third and Fatal Frame didn't even get a mention.
Just what the doctor ordered. As shit as this was, I would not trade the Wii U lineup for the Vita's. Of course I own both so I get to eat shit either way but whatever.People joke about the Vita, but at least the Vita still has games releasing on it. The Wii U is more dead than the Vita.

This is extremely harsh reception at Japanese stream for any type of conference, really![]()
The lack of new stuff makes perfect sense. They fucked up by having a huge lack of games for the WiiU release, so they are doubling down to have plenty of games ready for the NX launch.
Potentially?

On Wii U. It's probably gonna be NX now.
I'd say the event was "underwhelming" in one word. I mean, a lot of people were expecting megaton after megaton from Nintendo after Sony's press conference, which wasn't a fair expectation to go into. This seemed like typical Nintendo when all they can really show are games that are coming out within the year, not games coming out who knows when (Zelda U, for example.)
I'm interested to see how people react to the announcements.
- Metroid people technically got a Metroid game, but it's probably not something they wanted.
- Zelda people got a Zelda game, but they'll be upset that it's not Zelda U.
- Paper Mario fans didn't get a full on Paper Mario game, but they did get some Paper Mario that will probably turn out better than Sticker Stars.
- Mario sports fans didn't get Strikers, but they did get Mario Tennis.
- Animal Crossing fans are getting something on the Wii U, but it's definitely not what they probably thought they were getting.
I guess every year can't be like last year for Nintendo, but really not a bad year. Nintendo went the route of "let's show games coming out Spring 2016 or before" while people will compare it to Sony's "let's drop megatons that really aren't coming out this year". I appreciate Nintendo focusing on games coming out soon, whether the hype is there or not.
I also enjoyed the Muppet scenes. I can't wait to see all the new gifs.

so they are abandoning the Wii U with a 4 year lifespan? im confused.
...You clearly haven't seen any conference. This was an average direct. A 6/10. It did fall behind because Sony sucked the dicks of ever Neogaf member and was never gonna top it. But because Nintendo came after...it's now the worst. Of course.
After this, I'm not even sure about. Zelda might be entirely on NX. Not even cross gen.
Calm down and smile squids kids. It will be alright.....
Shouldn't have split so much stuff beforehand. If Mother 1, the Smash stuff, and honestly the "mini-direct" stuff was here it would've felt a lot less flat.
