4-player co-op 3DS FPS, with a competitive "eSports" multiplayer side mode.
Looks like hot garbage.
Surely that can't be all Retro is doing.

Have they made any mention of when its supposed to be released or does no one know?
He was gushing over it to Vinny. He got to play it and he really fucking likes it.

Persona 5 trailer works for me.

Yo where my Envelope at?
Just kidding. I understand that they're probably doing something else. Although I DID plan mowing my yard around listening to this podcast...
Wait, that's made by Retro? Surely not...

Here's another follow up. Website updated, Persona 5 is coming out in 2015

The 'Movie' link on the right brings you to a private video. It's definitely the one mentioned in Damiani's tweet
Austin mentioned on the stream that Blast Ball was being developed by Retro, and that's part of this thing.
It doesn't seem to have been really confirmed, but it seems very likely.
It's not
Not surprising. The gyroscope works great in Splatoon because it feels natural, it doesn't require you to do anything but move your arms. Having to constantly look down at the Gamepad screen just doesn't feel good and I have not liked it any game thats used it. Hopefully, in the final game there will be a way to turn it off.
Ok, cool. So there is still a chance they are doing something good. It's not

The next person to start dragging Ryan's memory out to try and form some kind of meta narrative about their own waning interest in a video game commentary site is getting a ban. Seriously, knock that stuff off. It's intensely crass.
Wow, GAF really hating on Giant Bomb this year. I appreciate the level-headed approach. I would be worried if the guys started flipping out over CGI trailers of games that won't be out until 2017 and faked "in-engine" footage.
I think I can guess where Vinny's going to be at:

I haven't seen the Sony video yet but I imagine the contrast between GB and GT's reaction is pretty great

Quoting this as a reminder for today. I wish I didn't have to!

Is it just me or is that video not private anymore?
Also it's the same exact trailer from last time.

I cannot find the prediction podcast on the site, is it not up yet?
federation force is looking fun on the treehouse stream, metroid "fans" are the worst
Hope the GB stream goes up on YouTube soon, finally got some time to watch it but it just says "Video was interrupted, the streamer stopped streaming."
i'm looking at the list of major game that came out in 2015 on the Wii U
Kirby
Mario Part 10
Splatoon.
that's it. we're 6 months in. this is a disaster.
Maybe I'm as jaded as the GB crew but I think they are spot on with their reactions. That gametrailers reaction is embarrassing to watch.

People are quick with their dislike button on Youtube. I think if they hadn't called it Metroid people wouldn't have been nearly as harsh.
So Nintendo showed off that Metroid thing on their livestream and it actually looks like a competent and fun co-op shooter. But why chibi design, and why handheld, and why Metroid when there's no mainline game announced yet?
Next Level does good work, and this feels like they're intentionally sabotaging a perfectly good concept.

Back half of 2015 is much more appealing, but yeah. Niche system with bad 3rd party support, nothing really new here.

I wish all the people funding Shenmue would put their money towards a franchise that is actually good(such as the wonderful Yakuza series)
