Was supposed to be up by now. But yeah, if there's something broken with their uploader I would be surprised if there's anyone around to fix it right now.

Austin mentioned on the stream that Blast Ball was being developed by Retro, and that's part of this thing.
It doesn't seem to have been really confirmed, but it seems very likely.

Yeah, the difference between Splatoon and what they showed of SF:Zero is that Zero you have to keep looking down to the pad in order to aim properly, while in Splatoon it's not necessary to look down unless it's for the map.

Wow, GAF really hating on Giant Bomb this year. I appreciate the level-headed approach. I would be worried if the guys started flipping out over CGI trailers of games that won't be out until 2017 and faked "in-engine" footage.

Wouldn't say that "GAF" is hating on GB, GB is insanely popular around here. Some people don't like what they do, but as long as people are not assholes about it (like XANDER mentioned, bringing Ryan up and shit like that) it's all good.

Its just a case of "People like this thing I don't like, I need to go tell them why I don't like it so I'm right in my not liking the thing" that the internet is a soundboard for.

Maybe I'm as jaded as the GB crew but I think they are spot on with their reactions. That gametrailers reaction is embarrassing to watch.
Not up. It should've been up 28 minutes ago, but I guess the uploader broke. Since they're all probably on the show floor now, my guess is that there's no one around to manually upload it. So it'll have to wait.
People are quick with their dislike button on Youtube. I think if they hadn't called it Metroid people wouldn't have been nearly as harsh.

Them leaving it up streaming (nothing) prevented YouTube from moving it to "completed events" for fast rewatch. I don't remember if YouTube automatically takes the live stream and sticks it in uploads when re-encoded, but if so that'll be delayed as well until they close the stream on YouTube.
People said it's because they're working on the NX.
Why the fuck would I buy Nintendo's new console if they treat the old one that I did buy like this?

So Nintendo showed off that Metroid thing on their livestream and it actually looks like a competent and fun co-op shooter. But why chibi design, and why handheld, and why Metroid when there's no mainline game announced yet?

i think both reactions were fine. having fun with the announcements and letting the hype wash over you is fun, on the other hand, i could understand GB approaching things critically from the get go, and that's cool too. different strokes for different folks. watch whatever you're in the mood for.

Back half of 2015 is much more appealing, but yeah. Niche system with bad 3rd party support, nothing really new here.
yeah, the naming is unfortunate from a strategic standpoint but on the other hand, i can't hold them accountable for people acting like assholes
not to mention the fact that nintendo has stated several times that they're not doing anything with traditional metroid unless they come up with a way to do something new and interesting with the formula
Yeah, I'm not sure how much the Metroid name is worth for a game like that, and they had to know that people wouldn't be happy with them using that name in this context.

Can't believe Other M came out nearly 5 years ago, time just feels like it's flying by lately.
Other M and the Prime Trilogy look incredible via dolphin, been replaying them for my Metroid fix. I'm really happy that emulators exist.

I liked Shenmue 2 and I'm glad that Shenmue 3 is funded... but was not exactly thrilled by kickstarter being announced in a conference (or a CG trailer for a remake made by a company infamous for its dev time).
Thats what bums me out. I feel like this is gonna be a cool game thats going to sink because of an unfortunate pairing with metroid.
in the next 6 months, we'll TECHNICALLY get those :
