Yu Suzuki retweets image GT team reacting to Shenmue III reveal.

One of the highlights for me at E3.

I really regret watching GiantBomb stream. Never again. Just was just constant criticisms and pessimism. Fuck that. Just one big regret.

yeah they were so cynical about fucking everything

that helped during the EA conference but I muted them for Sony's conference

meanwhile they all seemed to enjoy Nintendo's presentation. it was like the twilight zone or something haha.

Strangest part of this is that the company once blamed for Shenmue's story being left incomplete is the one helping to finish the series. Could not have foreseen this all those years ago.

Yeah, the marketing machine for the prelaunch of the PS2 alone was enough to doom the Dreamcast, and thus doom Shenmue. It almost feels like Sony is doing this as penance.

It's gotta feel good when genuine enthusiasm is rewarded.
No comparison pic from the Giant Bomb ppl? For some reason I picture the joyless fucks looking like that meme with the cat that says no.
Let's not even grace this kind of thing in this thread, i just accept that the men at Giant Bomb have a different feeling about gaming in general, and based on some of their tastes, i can't really see them jumping up and dowb about this sort of thing.

I freaking adore the current smaller GT crew. They actually still enjoy what they are doing.

what was this from?

It was from the crowd at the PS E3 conference. I think it was during TLG or FF7(I actually don't think it was the Shenmue reveal). Dude was very excited.

Yu must feel like a million bucks right now, and if he doesn't then he should.

And that GT reaction. I've watched the short clip of them reacting to Shenmue III a million times already, but the twenty minute video has footage beyond that I've not seen until now. Huber's actually crying tears of joy for pretty much the remainder of the conference lol! I know just how he feels.

This has been the best e3 i can remember. Those reactions to those special games finally being announced is why I'll play video games until i can't physically anymore. It's a beautiful time to be a video game player.

huber's emotions throughout the rest of the livestream is what gave me the feels. he was legit shook for the rest of the show

Yeah, that was my reaction too.
It was so much to take in that I needed to sit down.
I felt bad for Devolver, my mind was blanked out after FF7 and then Shenmue showed up, I stopped caring about any announcement afterward.
Everything just passed by so quickly.

:lol

Their reactions to FFVII then immediately after Shenmue 3 (when there were still in shock from the first megaton) will forever be legendary and the image that comes into my mind when I think back on this conference.

LMAO it's fantastic.

'I've got my composure back. I'm a professional'

.....

*SCREAMING*

The GT guys and their enthusiasm are a big reason why these announcements were so huge. The complete opposite of the grumpy Giant Bomb killjoys.

Do these guys have an audio podcast? A quick search didn't reveal anything obvious. I'd like to tune into these guys (and gal) because they seem like a lot of fun. Totally refreshing against all the jaded cynicism dominating the internet these days.

Oh wow, this is so amazing. All of this is surreal.

The whole GT coverage was insane. From Huber losing it to Shenmue, to Brandon Jones intense debate with Ben Moore and Ian Hinck over No Man's Sky. This picture just kind of brings it all around. It's awesome.
Agreed, GT has been a blast to watch through this.

Shenmue was one of the reasons why my brother and I pooled our money together and bought a Dreamcast.

I'm so glad to see this game is finally getting made.
i was the same. Even played the euro import of shenmue 2 on the dreamcast

This whole thing really just proves that it was the right call to give Huber his own show that's about how hyped he gets and how infectious it can be to those around him.

Dude is legit passionate about gaming and it's part of what makes his show so much fun to watch. Same thing with Bosman, but to a lesser extent.

"Every dream has come true!"

Haha, love it.

Although for me, not quite every dream came true. If they would have announced those 3 plus Suikoden 6, then I might have had a legit heart attack. I'll take 3 out of 4 anyday though.

Sony really should hook up Huber and Yu for an interview. Bosman and Yoshida happened, too.
Edit: Just saw the pic a few posts above. Good for Huber.

The thing I liked most was they were just then at that moment getting over the FFVII-R announcement. That was like just when they collected themselves and started even paying attention to the monitors again lol.

Was great
