I think the big thing here is that Ryu build half a bar of V-trigger by parrying the first three hits of the cannon drill. That seems HUGE!
LoL, Dota2, CS, starcraft 2 all have crazy finger gymnastics, what are you talking about? It's just most of these games sans SC2 are multiplayer, so they chalk up to losing being due to their teammate. They can't make that excuse in fighters.
did they both recover at the same time? if so man i hope they let ryu act a little quicker out of parry because reading some random ass drill and not even getting a punish out of it would be depressing.
guess it did fill a whole bar of gauge tho
That is more comparable to making a situational conversion in UMvC3 which requires precision at the highest level of play. Those feats aren't labeled as "bread and butter"
Like really, we're going to have a debate about which one is easier to pick up and play, an high execution involved fighting game without training mode time or a FPS. Think about that for a second. I'll hand one of my nongamer friends Call of Duty and GGXrd and I know which one is going to win.
I bet he'd suck equally as bad if placed up against a good player. Lowering execution won't stop someone with experience destroying you. And SFV looks like it's *very* easy to get destroyed in.
Not really that impressive. All he had to do was time the first parry hit, then he can mash the rest. Ultradavid mentioned this last night with Chun legs and her spiral. Too easy to parry that.
Now show me Evo Moment 37 as that cannot be mashed.
Really doubt he would if he didMaybe Kuroda will give this one a go and dominate everyone like he did/does in 3s.
Part of my wants to agree with you, but the cynic and contrairain in me just says "Naaaah"Yes, I believe so. New players that put in work can easily "rise up".
Is cammy the only one with alternate color? Don't remember seeing any others.

So apparently the PC beta is US only...?
This is what I get trying to access the SF5 page in Japan:

Banana should disappear after thrower is hit IMO
SF IV is considered a high execution game?
I'm not making any correlation between loving finger gymnastics and having a competitive mindset. I'm of the opinion that SF4's "finger gymnastics" are severely overstated and also that people with competitive mindsets that don't love finger gymnastics simply dealt with it. Either by not relying on optimal combos or playing characters that didn't need them.
SF IV is considered a high execution game?
I'm honestly surprised. I always considered it easy mode compared to something like Guilty Gear (which I don't play at all, so I'm not even trying to be elitist about it)
Arcade mode doesn't help much, because it lacks human psychology and makes you get some bad habbits. The only use might be tightening up your reactions(limited) and combos under stress.
Learning combos is only good or damage potential. When you don't have the fundamentals to actually land them they are going to be useless.
Compared to different video games. Compared to games that aren't fighting games more niche than street fighter.
Only on some characters. Viper and Evil Ryu, yes Balrog, Bipson and others, not really.
Are Kara throws in?

I love the no chip death.
