Street Fighter 5 Beta sign up is live

It just tells you to preorder lol.

It looks like choosing certain countries will allow you to sign up, like Australia

You can always pre order on amazon, get your beta code and cancel your pre order later.....

Amazon just charges you when they ship the game. =P

Seems to care about your PP in USFIV.

Apparently signing up doesn't mean you definitely will get in the Beta.

Just let me pre-order for a definite code instead?

Well that was uneventful for us in NA. Even Japan give you instructions on what to do and where without any actual sign up. UK was the only place you can sign up through the website that I tried so I just signed up through there.

(thumbs down)

Sounds like a fair thing to do to me. If it's really a beta test, you're doing Capcom a favor. Why should you commit to purchasing a product for the privilege? It's not like doing this takes away someone else's chance at beta access. Should a consumer never cancel a pre-order out of some sense of obligation to a corporation that hasn't delivered a product yet?

This is just information on eligible retailers that will have beta codes upon preordering. It's been up for a while, but good for those who were wondering about it.

My assumption is codes will be sent out in a few weeks.

You get a nice static theme with the pre-order on PSN in NA.

I'm going to leave the second half for those who pre-order.

I'm kind of annoyed about this pre-order for the beta business, because you know some sort of Collector's Edition will be announced later. Hell, on Amazon it even says "Standard Edition" in the product description.

So I'm going to have to pre-order that for now just so I can play the beta, then cancel it and pre-order the other edition whenever it's announced.

It's a minor annoyance in the grand scheme of things, but still an annoyance.

Things like this ruin it for everyone.

Great job!

Sorry if you think bad of me because of my suggestion.

Well, i personally aint doing this (i'm going to buy SF V regardless of the beta), but i think is pretty scummy to limit beta access only to pre-orders.

So, the only players allowed to test your game are the ones that are blindly buying your product?

If there's no possibility to do a public beta i prefer the raffle method.

My issue with this practice has nothing to do with a beta as a bonus but more to do with Amazon re-evaluating it's cancellation process resulting in people with genuine issues necessitating refunds/cancellations unable to do so.

I don't understand what's the problem with Amazon here. You`re supposed to cancel your order before they send you the game/charge you.

If you wait until amazon charges you to cancel than it's your fault and they should make the returning process harder.

This sign up is a public beta. You don't have to pre order.
