If its not coming to One... I see it coming to PC, considering the "Play it on PS4 first".
I'm fine with them changing things, ever since the reveal I've become more and more comfortable with them doing whatever they need to do. The biggest thing for me, after some thought, is that it's a reunion with the characters and I'll just leave the rest to Nomura and his team.
I've allways been afraid of what they would do if there ever was a remake, change is scary but I'll just embrace it going forward. The characters themselves are the most important thing.

Yeah XV and KH3 were announced before the consoles came out. I think those will be the last ones.
I'm really looking forward to seeing all the quirks of the Turks in HD. Elena accidentally leaking sensitive information to Cloud and co, Elena having a crush on Tseng (then walking in on Cloud spying on that Reno/Rude conversation), Reno checking his watch, Rude casually walking away from the battle in Gongaga Village when you defeat him. I love it all.
The Turks were awesome in Advent Children, so I'm sure they'll do them justice in the Remake.

Was anyone else depressed that this wasn't a project that had been in the works in the background within the company for years?
Kind of shocked me that they were just months maybe 8 months into producing this. I just have to wonder how SE thought this wouldn't be financially viable. I mean it sold 10 million + copies back in the day and is always the most requested remake around.
But, be that as it may. Exciting to see it finally happening even if it sounds like it will not be what I really want. That really does suck I was looking forward to seeing the crazy limit breaks and crazy summons and awesome tactical ATB combat with a modern engine. I'll reserve judgement on he final product for when it comes. Kugari mentioned FFX-2 so skipping over X to play it the first time.
I dont think I will like this battle system as much as X due to the simple fact that there is so much going on its a bit of sensory overload sometimes. Everyone can attack at the same
Time so you end up with a screen full of numbers and particles and effects overlapping each other so it takes a moment to gather what just happened especially when there are status effects involved

Sony's most viewed video is 30mil on the Playstation channel,so I doubt it will surpass that. However it should end up being the most viewed video for a game on their channel in like 1-2 weeks.

Yeah.. I don't really seeing it go anywhere past ten million but I could be wrong. Still - makes me all the more excited because Final Fantasy stuff in general had started to fall back in viewership/streaming so it's nice to know that the general public is just as excited.

Not quite as funny. In fact it's kind of really horrifying.
It's one of the things which will go IMO. It was never iconic like crossdressing Cloud anyway.

After some thought Honey Bee Inn can still be in the remake just remove the Mukki debacle and have Cloud earn the wig and panties by doing the squats instead.
At the inn you could only see in the keyhole and it was dark and it was only implications.
It can still work.

It's worth bearing in mind that SCEE and SCEA hold the publishing rights for FFVII on PS1. I imagine there exists the possibility that SCE may hold the publishing rights for all console versions of, and related to, FFVII.
Perhaps FFVII-R is covered by the agreement made all those years ago?

I don't think we can know for sure.. I know this because music videos are often heavily streamed nowadays as a booster for charting songs, so YouTube has measures put in place so people spamming views (like someone opening up thirty tabs and watching them) won't be counted. 30+ seconds must also be watched. I'm sure there are a lot of repeat viewings but this is most likely different people. The numbers wouldn't be this high just for some people repeatedly watching a video game trailer. Ditto with Star Wars: Battlefront.
We live in a world where you can type "FF7 remake" into YouTube and a legit trailer from the Playstation channel shows up as the first result.

This is the most likely scenario.
There's been a very interesting relationship between Sony and S-E around everything FF7 since its inception.
I wasn't sure if things went completely away when Sony sold their S-E shares a few years back, but it seems to me that what is still in the air is the PC version (which will clearly happen, the PS4 version being "first"), or rather the -delay- of said version following the PS4 one (and probably the details of the relationship, such as who fields what expenses regarding the title).
I honestly think that XB1 owner waiting for this to come to them will wait a looong time. Actually, probably ... forever. But who knows, it's S-E after all.

The most popular Tifa moments are things like the church fight in AC.
I want more of that and less 90's jiggle physics.
I think it speaks to the respect Square has for Tifa that her updated character outfit for AC and the one they used in Advent Children put *more* clothes on her, not less. No cleavage, jiggling, etc.
I'm all for fanservice-y games if that's what it's supposed to be, but I do hope that even with Tifa's original outfit, they don't make her a bounce-fest. She's one of my favorite heroines of the series.

Tifa was a testament of not judging a book by its cover. Her outfit might have seemed like fanservice but she was one of the most motherly and badass characters in the game.

Yea. Don't wanna turn this into a "haha eat crow" train but some people were sooo quick to completely dismiss this remake with "impossible / people don't care anymore / SE/Sony can't do it/ can't afford it/ financial and commercial suicide/ etc." It all came across so jaded.
I think if this E3 taught us anything is that no pipedream is totally off the table.
Besides the Aeris/Aerith debate which doesnt matter and maybe the combat (have no clue what combat i would make o_o...) i think these guys are pretty close

Yeah, but then Dissidia tried to go for a middle ground and...the results were mixed.
I really would love to hear from Kagari if she's aware at all on how they plan to approach things of that nature. I'm hoping they stick to the AC depiction, which was perfect, instead of "well, a lot of people REALLY like the cheesecake...".
There is 18 years worth of Tifa porn out there, and there's going to be even more now thanks to this.
There is literally no reason to pander. There's more than enough material out there for anyone that wants it.
