I thought Richard Morgan was the head writer on Crysis 2?

FWIW, I believe that Sefton Hill is actually lead writer on Arkham Knight and Lancaster is only assisting. I imagine that that Hill was probably heavily involved in the stories of Asylum and City so I doubt things will be that different in terms of writing from the first two games.

Also, for everyone trumpeting Origins story (I agree it was good) it was written by Corey May who was the lead writer on Assassins Creeds titles before that so....

Pre-load has been active on PS4 and XBox One for a couple days on the former and like a week on the latter I think. No Steam pre-load yet though. -.-

Dude, get off this ND/UC4 hate thing. Holy crap, its like every post you do the past few days. Let this gorgeous game speak for itself without having to bring another dev or game into it.


Sure does look amazing, though. And I'm assuming it's from the PS4 version since, as far as I know, we haven't seen PC footage except in the Gameworks video and the first reveal footage.
 
Everybody not named Spring-Loaded saw how ass the Batmobile combat was pre-release. I'm sure Rocksteady knew, but they invested so much into the Batmobile as the big sequel thing and just couldn't or didn't have time to think of anything better.

PSN is down for me, I was about to preorder it.. I still am.. But shit.. I'm already scared of that tedious boss battle with the batmobile. I really suck at aiming with a controller.. I know that the BM is going to cause me problems.

Didn't expect that high scores. Gameplay videos from E3 just looked like more of the same. No big changes from the past titles. Maybe in 2 years or so. Had enough of Batman after playing the Arkham trilogy in the last two years.
 
It's kind of a bummer the story doesn't seem to be as good, I didn't know about Paul Dini not coming back. But the Arkham series have been great games too, so as long as the gameplay is still solid and it has good atmosphere, I'm excited/
 
I could have gotten my hands on a copy today. There were 4 available. But I've already paid off my pre-order somewhere else.

Shit.

Let's see how good the story is next week. It is 91+ on metacritic with 16 reviews.. that's gotta be something.

I'm so excited to play this. I don't mind if the story isn't great, because both of Rocksteady's Arkham games were weaker than Origins in my opinion regarding story. If anything, I have faith in the story from the E3 2015 trailer alone. It's an awesome trailer.

Rocksteady's were always better gameplay-wise and by the looks of Knight, it's leagues ahead of any Batman game in terms of gameplay and visuals.
 
Great reviews so far. Kinda sad to see that the Batmobile is as lame as everyone expected, especially with how much focus the game seems to put on it.

I'm eagerly anticipating some more reviews and GAF impressions, I love this series, but oddly enough I don't really have a strong urge to go day 1 on this. Probably gonna wait it out a bit
 
What is this? My two guys don't have the game for sale yet, both said Monday. Games were so much easier to break streetdates a couple of years ago.

I want to play this, now! Lol

Eager to hear about PC performance. If it's running at a seriously solid 30 FPS on PS4 though, then it sounds like it should be nothing to worry about if I just want to play the game and not max every single option.
