The thirst is real: a Destiny TTK quest is exclusive to Red Bull (Until Jan 1, 2016)

I love how some people think Activision is solely to blame here. Bungie knew what they were getting themselves into and have more control than your typical developer since they own the IP.

WE ARE TO BLAME actually.. because we are a bunch of complacent consumer losers in general.

throwing money at the screen for emotes.

Did you guys read the fucking slide? It says cans exclusive to 7-11 till the end of July, national at the beginning of August and 4 packs at Walmart in Sept. Dose reactions without reading.

Stop giving them money!!!! SON OF A (@!*#&!

But seriously, folks...

ok, we'll be able to buy Red Bull Destiny cans everywhere from the 1st of August.
It's still a shitty deal.

Vault of Glass was amazing. What the hell are you talking about?

Maybe it's because I played WoW and I've seen properly made content. Coming from that to Destiny only shines a light on how basic and bland Destiny's raid and strike content are.

I like these types of deals and I don't see any problem if a quest is related to a marketing product code.

You enjoy content being taken from the game and used to sell soft drinks and energy drinks? Man, gamers really are their own worst enemy.

The utter contempt for their customers. How can anyone with any self esteem continue to support this game, when, they're literally mocking you and referring to you as mugs to be screwed over. This isn't a f2p game your paying for that shit.

jesus fucking christ

i just want to play the game without all this BS. I'm already in for TTK so please Bungie, stop with this kind of shit.

Come on guys, if you saw this mission you'd be pouring Red Bull on the screen.

What an embarrassment. Couldn't even get one quest that is "unlike anything that exists elsewhere" in the first expansion.

Is it real content or cross promotional bullshit shoe horned into the game. We don't know that. Where is the playstation exclusivity outrage, the kind that continues with TTK? Oh wait, this is GAF.

No offense meant to the tons of people who play and enjoy Destiny, but I've never been happier to have skipped out on getting a game. Every other piece of news about Destiny just makes my stomach churn at this point.

Not the week for Destiny is it? If it weren't for the superb shooting mechanics of this this game, it would have been dead in the water long ago.

launch of destiny with its amount of content, their garbage dlcs, taking away the raid in the last Dlc and now this

bungie are beyond disgusting of a company

Not to mention all the people that were salivating at the possibility that Sony might have bought out a timed exclusive on Call of Duty DLC.

The trailer is like those crappy NBA finals tie-ins with whatever movie is coming out at the time. Oh my god! Lebron dunks likes Ironman! We have the save the world from a full-court press!

I just deleted this bullshit game last night after discussing The Taken King fiasco with a friend. I just woke up this morning and this is the first thread I saw. Almost spit my coffee out. I've never had a sip of Red Bull in my life and I sure as shit wasn't going to start now, even if I didn't uninstall Destiny.

Holy. Shit. Bungie, you fucked up. Fuck everything abut this game! I regret buying Destiny digitally on PSN, that's for sure. Wish I could trade it in, sell it to someone, or last least break the disc in a million pieces with a hammer because in my eyes that's the shitty fate this train wreck of a game deserves.

"Destiny consumers are used to paying a premium for downloadable content similar to this quest"

What the fuck is Bungie doing?

When TTK was announced, I was immediately onboard to jump back in, mostly because I misread the price. And then the CE debacle, the horrible interviews, and now this?

Oh, that rage is still very much there, trust me.

Activision deals with all the marketing and wording of promotions. I'm really not sure why people are upset with this when we've had video game promotions related to junk food ever since like 2007. But yea let's just keep complaining like this has never happened before.

Bungie is truly the worst.

Are you implying that I think it's OK Bungie continues to willfully fuck over half of their user base? I enjoy my time in Destiny with friends, but I despise what Bungie have become.

Well I drink Redbull anyways, so I guess I don't really care. I've got more than my money's worth out of this game and it's dlcs.

Poor Bungie, must regret that Activision deal at least a little bit, no?

Let's not pretend Activision is the big bad wolf and Bungie the innocent victims here just yet.

I mean, they may be, but this is the kind of crap we haven't even seen them do with CoD (mission content locking I mean), so I wonder how much of it is really them, and how much of it is actually Bungie being awful.

After that PR disaster, I'm thinking Bungie's true colors were more apparent.

I played the beta and decided not to buy Destiny because I thought the game was lacking. Now I think Activision/Bungie weren't developing a game but a platform to suck money from people at all cost. I'm glad I've skipped the game, I'm not into this kind of game as a (financial) service.

Don't see this any different than missions and quest you get in others games for preordering from a a specific store. At least everyone will get this someday if they want it. Both practices are lame but I could really care less.

You stated that this content was taken from the game, what I'm "implying" is that you don't know that.
