Splatoon |OT2| Prepare to Dye

Listening to the defeat music to pump me up while the 9th minute of wait to join the GAF room begins.

EDIT: This has to be the new record. 12 minutes of wait if I get in now.

EDIT2: 15 minutes. I didn't think it's possible to go this long without anyone DC'ing.

What is everyone's thoughts on the Luna Blaster so far? I must admit I'm pretty poor at using actual projectile weapons in this game but I quite like it, and it's absolutely evil for ranked mode. Just being able to lob 2 shot kill projectiles above the enemy and have it hit regardless, or kill them in 1 hit if they get in your face makes it really nice at holding position. I'm struggling a bit to find the actual effective range of the weapon though.

Man, my head is spinning, I think it's my cue to stop, I can't deal with Sendou and Walkman with their Dual Squelcher like that, to many echolocator

Hmm. Looks as though the after school crowd is on. I'm getting players who roller tiny corners near spawn and super jump to death.

On a related tangent, I'm curious to hear what GAF thinks on these questions:

1. Who do you think synergizes best or most often with yourself?
2. Who do you consider your primary rivals?
3. Finally, who is your demon (as in you get BTFO whenever they're put against you)?

1. DaBoss and Sendou using chargers on my team is awesome. They're able to provide decent cover for my aggressive playstyle. If the other team tries to make a strong push into our territory, I'll activate the bubble and share it with them. Then we just takeover after that.

2. Walkman (because something always happens at the end of matches that usually determines the outcome) and Azure J (because we always seem to run into each other lol)

3. Probably SM239. He's so damn quick. *sigh*

It's so hard to do anything with out ink resistant shoes, how does everyone do it?
As good as they are I barely use them. I just can't seem to change up how I play to utilize them even though they would help me out a lot.

I do wear them though
Until someone perfects that next-level ninja inkbrush play, it's just not that versatile in terms of combat in my opinion.

Agreed. I think it's painting potential is one of the best when left untouched however it suffers in combat and so as long as the other team is paying attention its easily shut down.

1. My play style is pretty much focused on getting kills and putting myself in danger with the .52 Gal Deco, so anyone that does a great job on painting, getting the hell away when there's danger (something I can't bring myself to do it most of the times) and manages to be sneaky when in encounters is someone that will be helping my team a lot. Azure J and DaBoss fit this style very well, but I'm specifically mentioning them because they are the ones I play with the most.
I forgot about this. Im going to change my answer. I synergize well with someone that paints a lot and stays out of my way. Time2krill is a great teammate as he does both very well.

Good shooting, guy. Gonna take a smoke break, get my mind righted.

My entire playstyle relies on it. I don't if anyone has noticed, but certain weapons put ink underneath your feet, so I literally run on enemy ink while firing ahead. Now without it, I can't do much. Gonna have to change my clothes again.

I just try not to touch enemy ink, it sucks when you get stuck in like one pixel of their ink, I just like the stealth jump even though I don't jump much it has come in handy more than a few times.

One problem with the way I play using the inkbrush is that I never use the run charge move, like never.
I know it's good because it's fast but I can never see a situation where I can safely use it, and charging on enemies head-on with a inkbrush is not the best combat approach lol

JP Miiverse celebration of 1mil sales.

Any news on splatfest?

Does anyone bother with ninja squid anymore? Someone always has echolocator.

I sure do. I mean, it's not like echolocator is active all the time. I just play like "normal" while it's on. And I only ever use ninja squid with really close range weapons like aerospray or inkbrush.

Lol, this is how I get most of my kills. You underestimate the power of the run. Especially with extra run speed, you can run on their ink(with ink resistant shoes) at almost the same speed as them and then spin them in circles with the brush run which is faster than swim speed. I like using it to get away and finding better ground. But, you have to watch your ink tank, that's been my downfall.

Only 10 points to win but extended time and enemy team burned all their 67 points and won.

How extended time works exactly?
If the losing team has control (or had control of the zone just before time ran out), the game will go into overtime where the game will end when one of the following happens:

1) The losing team manages to take their timer below the enemy team's timer. The team that was losing before overtime will win.
2) The zone remains in neutral for a certain amount of time (I want to say it is about 7 seconds, not sure). The winning team will win.
3) The winning team takes back the zone. The winning team will win.

I think it's a good weapon. Probably the second best at close range combat. First being rollers.

I'm not sure what to do with it. I like the other blasters better. The lack of range and bombs makes it extremely difficult to push through heavily-defended areas. Seems too situational for me.

I do, but it's just because I'm too lazy to try and get a good coldblooded shirt

I flip between it and cold blooded

Hmm.. Maybe I should try ninja squid again. I wasn't too impressed before. I haven't even used cold blooded yet. I love having tenacity, ink saver main, and ink resistance as my mains.

Yes. Not much with other weapons but always with the roller

Ohhhhhh..... you're one of THOSE guys. Jump out of ink and splat with a roller lol.

Yeah, based on my limited experience using the inkbrush ink management is really important.

Really? Seems you'd be an awfully easy target, specially to long range weapons like the Gals and Squelchers. Plus playing like that on maps like Pork Mackerel with it's damn corridors would be suicide in my opinion... And they could easily just run and hide from you in squid form and then kill you if you are without an echo.
But I'll try it later, shame I'll only be able to play on the weekend :(
