Is it really too much for Costumers to expect their Products to work as advertised since day one?

If I buy a TV, take it home, and it doesn't work, I should get a working one or my money back as soon as possible. Somehow that's strange in videogames

I actually do hear the chipmunk voices, but the rest of the fights seem to be normal voices.

edit: well I guess it is just one other fight in the video, in the vault area.

OK you know what?
Slow down that footage Youtube now lets yous speed up or slow down videos right? Slow it down and then tell me if what you see it the intended actual footage...

Don't laugh but to play it on my computer I have to turn everything off and set the resolution to 1024x768. And even then I have some dips :(

i7 4770k @ 4,5Ghz
8Gb Ram
MSI 560Ti Twin Frozr (1Gb Vram)

Thanks Steam Family Sharing, one less game to buy for now...

duuuuuuuuuuuude

I have been reading this thread to remind myself of that tragic day of Nov 11 2014. This was the day Unity launched and I had preordered and paid for the game by that time. Nothing worked, patches didn't do shit, spent quite a bit of time just trying to engage the game and get my moneys worth, all to no avail.

I sympathize with everyone in this thread and it reinforces that the only way to truly let developers know that this shit is unacceptable is to NOT preorder a game. Ever. I can get wrapped up in hype just like anyone else but seeing this happen again, and knowing it will happen in the future makes my fortitude that much stronger.

Preorder. Just say NO.

Bro... ah... 2gb VRAM is min for the specs...
But it doesn't even matter people with SLI 980 ti cannot run the game properly!

Pre-ordering means you pay more for a worse product. It's the ultimate sucker trap.

Lol I did this and it just sounds like slow squeaky voices, it's definitely from the henchmen though, the footage really needs to be sped up quite a bit to make it squeaky and I'm pretty sure it would have been more noticeable, plus there are actually a lot better ways to convert a video into 60fps.

Indeed. I had to learn the hard way. Gaming has always been so near and dear to me and throughout my whole life I have made my hobby playing, buying, engaging in video games. I always liked the rush of a new trailer and plopping my money down to pay off what I expected to be a great game. I almost took pride in doing that. Letting devs know I love their games, that I support them and want to see them keep making games.

Somewhere along the way, all this nonsense came about. Unfinished products, DLC, 10Gb patches, "we're sorry", ad naseum. Now, I have to sit and remain pessimistic about something I hold close to my heart: gaming. I have to be skeptical and unsure, do research like I am writing a thesis all to ensure I get a game that just works.

It really sucks, man.

This is pretty terrible. I really regret choosing it over the PS4 version, even with a Titan X. Hiccups, stuttering, missing visual features, it's upsetting across the board.

Somehow found a PS4 version of Batman used already. I think I'm going to go pick it up after work and return it if they fix the PC version. If not, well, at least WB isn't getting my money.

guys just a crazy thought, what if Iron Galaxy, WB, RockSteady captured it and SENT nVidia the gameplay footage to put up and advertise?

So...PS4 version, at minimum, then maybe sped up? That's pretty fucking damning on WB, Rocksteady and Nvidia.

Don't ever, ever try to lie to the internet - Gabe Newell

I don't know if its a different build or what, but the rain textures at 0:12 are simply not in the final PC product.

So yeah. Doesn't get more false advertising than this.

I do have a PS4, but was hoping to get the PC version after a Digital Foundry tech review of it. But I guess this game is also only worth purchasing during Steam sale when its dirt cheap, just like AC: Unity.
Really hate lazy devs.

I posted this GIF in the PC performance thread but man, I just tried to start my PC playthrough regardless but the fucking stuttering was disgusting and unplayable.

Shit, they need to issue compensation for this fuck up.

I thought "oh it's just a guy on reddit stiring shit up" Then I saw the video and though "oh someone made a fake video and called the channel NVIDIA" then I checked the channel and it was legit. You can definitely hear high pitched speed up thug vocals. Not sure how though because even recorded at 30fps the animations would play out properly right, not half speed. So doubling a 30fps clip to 60fps in that case would result in not just sped up audio but sped up animation, because 30fps isn't half as fast as 60, it's the same speed just half the visual information.
