Sorry, I've not been following this thread, but... stick with season 9, it does get better.
I personally love Doggett and his journey, "Release" is one of The X-Files' best episodes, and I'm sad he won't be appearing in the new ones.

Show should have ended with season 8. It had a great ending. Mulder randomly disappearing was dumb as shit. I think I only watched a handful of episodes in season 9.

Should have ended with Season 7. It almost did. The finale was written as a possible series finale. They just would have cut out the pregnancy thing.

They are filming in Ashcroft BC right now. My father in law was there and they were staying in his hotel.
I'm rewatching the series now and I'm about 8 episodes into series 8, Robert Patrick is a good actor but the show is really lacking without Mulder, it lacks humour mostly, the whole thing going is dry as shit. They're also really struggling to fill the void of Mulder's theories.

Idk, I still really love Season 8. Agent Doggett was always one of my favorite characters. And I enjoyed lots of the episodes like Within, Without, Roadrunners, Redrum, This Is Not Happening, Deadalive (LOVE THIS ONE!!!), Three Words, Alone, etc. I think the last scene in Existence was beautiful, if it had ended there I would have felt extremely satisfied with the shows run.
That being said, I couldn't be more hyped for The X-Files Season 10. This and Twin Peaks Season 3 have pretty much rekindled my love for TV again.

I liked Doggett too, I just wish he was in the earlier seasons instead. And there were definitely some good episodes in the last seasons, but to me the supersoldier mythology stuff just wipes the good from my memory.

Oh shit. According to TVLine, the 3rd episode of the new season is apparently written and directed by Darin Morgan, and called "Mulder and Scully meet the Were-monster"

I'm not seeing a huge difference. Sure it's different if you compare her to the ultra red of the late seasons of the show, but she's not gonna do something that drastic to her hair for 6 episodes when she's already on 2 other shows (well, maybe) at the moment.

I think Scully's hair is an amalgamation of several colors. It's fine. It's not as if she looked like her Hannibal character.

I believe Carter has already said they won't be paying any attention to those.
I am not sure that the new season will mess them up but I don't believe it will adhere to them as canonical.

Thing in the comics they revealed how Cig Man and the Lone Gunmen are still alive. So if they bring them all back (Cig Man already confirmed, I guess) and it's different, then it will conflict.
Although with only 6 episodes I could seem them leaving the Lone Gunmen out.

You have no idea what the end result will be,” she recalls. “So yeah, unfortunately, it is a wig.” And it’s a good wig, she insists. Made by fancy wig makers in London. But it hurts. “Oh my God, it’s like wearing a vice on your head,” says Anderson. “I mean, every day, I have a whopping headache. And so I’m paying for that decision. I want all the fans to know that I’m suffering for the red!” Or at least, something very close to it.

Knowing that, why not letting Scully to be blonde?. I'm so used to see GA with blonde hair, I personally will not care.
