I totally agree. Populist voting has a definite record of being absolutely wrong in American history. I just wish our country would be better. I've long thought about running for office, but I realize that I would likely end up either ineffective, or no better than those I see responsible for so much wrong.

Not to defend bms but as a former Christian I just want to make sure people understand he's not saying he's Jesus, he's saying that Christians are persecuted as Jesus was, which is a typical belief in many circles stemming from these verses (John 15:18 - 20):

If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.
