I think a lot of us understand the difference, but i have witnessed TOO MANY PEOPLE who unironically use the heinous phrase and think they're justified by a religion they obviously have no understanding of if they call themselves part of it, but do things like that.

It's like it's been pointed out in the thread, Churches are more than welcome to not marry people in religious ceremonies, but any so called "christian" who uses the name of god in vain to spread hate, is neither a good christian nor a good person.
