I like him as a person, and I love that he's a macho dude standing up for marriage equality, but he did NOT know what he was doing as governor of California.

Today the Supreme Court issued a disappointing decision that imposes same-sex marriage on all 50 states.

“Although this result was predicted by many observers, the action of the Court is nonetheless startling in its rejection of a societal understanding of marriage that goes back to the dawn of civilization. It tramples on the democratic process by overturning the will of more than 60 percent of Americans who voted on the issue and creates a new federal constitutional right in an area where our founding document is silent.

“We are also concerned that this decision will fan the flames of government hostility against individuals, businesses and religious organizations whose convictions prevent them from officiating at, participating in, or celebrating such unions. We’ve already watched this hostility operate against wedding vendors, military chaplains, and others, and anticipate that today’s decision will open the door to an unwelcome escalation of this problem.

“Ultimately, however, no court can change the eternal truth that marriage is, and always has been, between a man and a woman. Regardless of today’s decision, Focus on the Family will continue to address the importance of one man, one woman marriage to families, society and especially for children who have a right to both a mother and a father. We praise God for the opportunity to shine a light on His divine plan for the family during the years ahead.

“In the days to come, we must remember to season our words with salt. It’s time to be a light in these dark times. It is not time to be combative and caustic. Now, more than ever, we must emulate Jesus Christ. We must continue to show that loving kindness as we talk with our neighbors and friends who see this issue differently.”

I for one would be glad if those calling the apocalypse be so kind to state the approximate date, I would like to grab my stuff and my fiancee and go back to Mexico or move to France, which ever is easier.

I mean, the way they are ranting, sounds like God's tantrum will only affect eh US. Other countries have recognized same-sex marriage for years and nothing happen to them.

Wasn't the founder of that sect arrested for molesting a minor? My memory is a bit fuzzy, but I recall that since one of the radio stations back in my hometown puts a clip from that group at noon.
 
I've seen absolutely zero backlash on my Facebook feed. I guess this means I've successfully unsubscribed from every obnoxious person.

As a gay man who's taken shit his entire life for being gay, I will enjoy my schadenfreude for a while.

Seriously. The "hate" from the one side is literal hate for their lives being "destroyed" by other people having the same rights they do. The only "hate" I see from those who gained today, is more of a "up yours", and that is a righteous indignation they deserve.

I love how people who are offended by this say Christians are going to be persecuted, as if gay people didn't have it hard enough before. Now they're the victims of all this rofl.

No, but seriously, the only way a Christian would feel threatened or persecuted by this is by having a fundamental misunderstanding of God's love. I hope this is a wake up call for those people.

Whatever happened to that couple that said they'd split if gay marriage became legal? They done it yet?

I've seen some petty shit on Facebook. My mum likes a page where two people put pictures of their cute rabbit up, pretending it's posting on Facebook itself. They put a picture up supporting gay marriage. People started unliking the page. Petty, petty ass shit.
 
Not a great as some posts in here but I only have this facebook post. I had to go onto his profile as I hide everything he posts from my wall. I should delete him but he had some good posts with Obama's reelection.

"This morning I read Exodus 7~11 about the plagues that came against Egypt and how the Lord had hardened Pharaoh`s heart to where he could not see or believe any of the plagues were caused by God`s wrath. Denial keeps people blind."

Some salt is better than none right? lol

They have a narrow, myopic view of the world. If something doesn't fit their narrow viewpoint, it's wrong, evil and immoral.
