Bunches of counties were handing out licenses. Tarrant, Travis, Dallas, Harris, and Bexar -- most of the biggest counties -- were handing them out. It's mostly rural counties that have been "waiting for new forms" like Denton, Johnson, Parker, and Wise. Not that surprising given their rural centers and bad direction from the AG's office. The majority of those will start issuing on Monday.

LOL. Thomas in that pic reminds me of the guy in Too Many Cooks. He defies reality!#DEAD
Also, congratulations. Was seriously way overdue.
The sky isn't falling, so I think we're all gonna be okay.
Good thing I don't have any reason to be near the courthouse in downtown Decatur. Place is probably gonna be packed.
More Than A Dozen Landmarks You Won't Believe Were Turned Rainbow
How did all these places get rainbow lights set up on such short notice? Is there a rainbowlightrentalsandinstallationforlargebuildings.com or something?

But tolerance is one thing, what you want is full acceptance.
I dont like when people "tolerate" something. That means the begrudge it. Fucking accept it. Its the new reality, so swallow pride and accept whatever it is.

Went to Stonewall last night, it was an absolute blast, so many very very very happy people. There were so many people just hugging everyone around them, it was really beautiful.
From there I went to BK so that we could have some drinks with a few of our friends who were partying in Bushwick, and that scene was much younger and also filled with happy people.
The generational difference between the two places was telling.
Stonewall was filled with generally older LGBT people who weren't so much elated as shocked happy. Probably because they lived through the 60s, 70s and 80s. The younger generation (and at 30, I'm definitely part) had much more of a "well of course, why did it take so long?'
A lot more tears of Joy at Stonewall, and a lot more shots in Bushwick.
All around, yesterday was a very very good day.
I think in my lifetime there have been 4 really important world changing events.
Fall of the Soviet Union, 9/11, Barrack Obama's election and yesterday.
Here is hoping Hillary gives me a 5th.
I love how gloriously colourful everything is right now - not just social media but so many landmarks and monuments too. Magical.
I'm going to swing by the Minneapolis bridge this evening. They light it up most years for pride and it looks stunning over the water
I dunno, they have historically been very.... conservative about that logo.
Gone over this already. You're choosing an interpretation of tolerance based on what it *could* mean if you took it that way, but as always, its important to put things into appropriate context, and within civil rights issues, tolerance has generally been sort of synonymous with 'acceptance'. Civil rights leaders themselves will proclaim to 'preach tolerance' after all.
I do agree acceptance would be technically be a better term, but I think you should understand what somebody means by it before arguing against them.
Who is that?
Pretty sure it's James Dean
Anyone have a pic of GAF logo? Not seeing it on mobile.
The colors are animated to spin as well

Honestly, I'm more surprised that San Francisco City Hall isn't lit up with rainbow lights every day of the year.
I wasn't born yet for the first of these, but I completely agree that the other three just felt like such momentous occasions - for good or, in the case of 9/11, ill, it felt very special to be alive as they were happening and you could feel the world shifting under your feet.
I'm still tearing up! Like part of me just still can't believe this is happening, even though I had known it should/would/could for a very long time.

Yeah, that about sums it up.
Did I miss something big? Because having to buy shitty insurance through my work that has like a 6k deductible before it even pays for anything doesn't strike me as Universal Health Care.

No:Even Germany? Kind of ironic given that we don't have SSM here. pretty cool though.
That picture was taken at the "festival of lights" in 2012. Germany ist still far away from legalizing same sex marriage :-(
The Pride Festival here in Lexington is today. Great timing!
After Reddit's spring cleaning. Where are they now?
Any updates on the situation in louisiana
