I know, I'm a fan of that stuff but I don't buy what he physically endures here. Didn't mean to make a big deal out of it, it's just a game and I'm excited but there's no way in hell he walked away from that like he did let alone still being able to participate in the rest of the action.
Shouldn't have said anything I guess. I fully understand and embrace what this is but I think it's too much.
More of a nitpick/observation. Watching it I'm just like... no... but it still looks damn awesome. No one really needs to defend this to me as I'm there day one.
I don't have an issue with someone arguing that action sequences should be crafted in a way that is somewhat believable. Even in fiction, people can suspend disbelief and feel unrealistic action sequences are intense -- because the sequence stays within a realm of possibility that we can accept within fiction.
I guess I just don't agree that the genre UC is, that it needs action sequences like that. It's just weird to think someone would watch that, and say they are taken out of the scene because of how over the top it is. Well yeah. That's like what UC is. These big set pieces should be wow and exciting, not: oh but he would really be dead there.
When did I say I didn't like them? I acknowledged a few times that it isn't anything new to the series and I love the games. It does take me out of it a little but it's not like I'm flinging shit at the whole shebang.
Didn't say you didn't like them. Was just asking. Since prior games were heavy with action sequences where Nate should be dead. Was just wondering if you had an issue with this kind of action sequence, how the rest of the series made you feel. I don't think your perspective was invalid.
