Quick question, what specifically about the train sequence in Uncharted 2 did people love? I mean I do think there were other sequences that I much preferred, and although I liked it, I just want to know what specific part was amazing to them since it seems the most talked about although I'd put other sequences, like the Hotel, above it.

Yep me too. Just the the sheer crazyiness of actually fighting through that sequence was great. All this shit is flying around the room and every object has it's own physics applied to it. Has anyone tried playing this with the low gravity modifier on??

How do you know this? In UC2, I considered the hotel scene to be the most epic for me because it was something I was playing through.

Did ND state this themselves in the QA session? Did they indicate that there would be main more cut scenes.

I'm not watching this video and I'm not looking at any gifs, but it seems to me that there was a lot of build up for this sequence, starting with the fun fight to car chase to w/e happens after that. It's not like every fight in the game is going to transition into on going continuous crazy set pieces so I'm going to avoid spoilers so I go in fresh

They mentioned that this is very early on into the game and I don't think they would put their most epic set piece at the beginning and then spoil it for everyone. And yes the Hotel scene in Uncharted 2 was epic but nothing beats the train scene, that shit was bananas.

im surprised no one has brought up that nate just killed tons of guys and then him and brother just laugh it off. Not that i give a fuck, because i want to play that right now.

That fire and smoke is CGI Quality, wtf. Nvidia gameworks smoke in Batman AK looks bad now :(.

AK is open-world multiplatform game created in modified UE3, that is using realtime smoke particle effects on beefy PCs whenever user want's to see them.

U4 is tightly-coordinated linear game created by best 1st party team Sony has that is using particles that are mostly likely pre-simulated for all the large set pieces and they simpled "played back" when engine calls for them.

I'm not saying that U4 does not have awesome real-time effects, but in that scene, AK and U4 are using different approaches for showcasing effects on screen.

I was more concerned with them like destroying like a whole town on some Man of Steel type shit, then they just kinda laugh in that privileged white man way before leaving the colored foreigners to clean up their mess.

It has begun!

Goddamn this was good, the streaming of assets in the world is just dead on, perfect. The characters are really so well acted, too. I just watched some videos of Uncharted 1 and it's amazing how far they've come in terms of voice direction and overall cutscene composition.

I was initially worried about spoilers watching this but you know what, I don't care, it's 14 minutes of a probably 10 hour long game. I can deal.

Maybe thats what the blonde lady is disappointed about(dont know her name).

Elena. And she's probably more disappointed because Drake is constantly snubbing her. Either way I hope they don't make his killing of many dudes an actual plot point, it's better not to worry about it like in some 80s adventure movie. Save the morality for stuff like TLOU that actually weaves it into the plot for emotional effect. Uncharted is just about guiltless fun.

Don't even start with this shit. Usually we wait until the new Uncharted game comes out before we get the obligatory "DRAKE IS A MASS SERIAL KILLER OF MINORITIES"-thread.

I think Nate and co are the foreigners in this area.
But yeah.. Who's going to clean that shit up?

"We can't, ever, come back to this city."
"Add it to the list."

Holy shit this is on another different level, the game looks like cg in some parts of that video, animation quality and attention to detail are unreal too, naughty gods are back.

Can't wait for NX gamer to take a look at this. I know he's not always technically factual, but he's got an eye to notice little details.

It's still insane to me that Naughty Dog makes all this shit playable. Looking and animating like that. Just straight up insane. I need this game.

After E3, I had Horizon one spot above UC4 in my GOTS ranking, but after seeing this, the games have switched places.

Others don't even try, they just throw QTEs everywhere , it only shows how good they are at doing their jobs i suppose :p

I'm just scrolling through these pages pretending these GIFs don't exist so that I can watch the HQ version first and blow my mind to bits.

nah, she never cared about that. In fact at the very beginning (Drake's Fortune) she witnessed the murders but all she cared about was keep filming her documentary.
Besides, she's a murderer too.

She's probably sad that Drake went on a killing spree without her.
(lol)
