It's less on-rails than a cutscene FFS. Most other dev's would have a cutscene with QTE's in it, ND choose to make it more interactive. Show me another game that delivers cutscene quality action/framing/animation while still having that amount of control. Most of the time they don't even need button prompts. They are easily the most talented "cinematic" developers out there, and people enjoy those set-pieces even it's just pressing a few buttons...which, by the way, can describe playing literally any game.
