PC: Ori and the Blind Forest 75%off - 4.99$ @Steam (possible price mistake)

oh, the "why did I buy this for more but havent played it yet and now it's this price" moment

but yes, it appears to be fantastic so buybuybuy

Yeah noticed everyone buying it on my Activity Feed, and have wanted to get it for quite a while. £3.74 is a stellar price - wouldn't be surprised if it is an error

Wow, fantastic price. Bought it immediately. It does feel a bit early for 75% off, though, especially since it was much more expensive during the Summer sale.

WOW thanks! Just as I was regretting skipping it during the summer sale! :)

Has to be:

-Currently on sale on Live for only 25%off
-Way too early for 75%off
-If it was intended, it would surely be a featured deal(like a daily or midweek) instead of a random deal

the dev specifically said it "won't get as cheap as during the summer sale for a while"

this is def a mistake

While I do agree - I never trust these statements. Shovel Knight is a great example, refuting that they would be going on sale since they were working on more content. It has been on sale several times now, obviously not to such an extent though

Probably a mistake, bought it for $12.99 during the summer sale a couple weeks ago

(it's a great game, go get it)

Let me check under the paypal couch cushions. Nope only got 4.02. I probably wouldnt have liked it anyway.

Is it immoral to buy this if it's on sale as a mistake? Will the devs get less than they should?

Of course it is immoral. Who eats the costs probably depends on whos fault a pricing mistake is. That probably usually means Valve.

But this looks like a real sale and not a pricing mistake so purchase to your hearts content.

Do we know whether the devs are out of luck when a pricing mistake happens or if Valve will compensate them for the error? Assuming that it the error happened on Valve's side, that is.

On one hand, if that's a mistake, it sucks for the devs.

On the other hand, everyone should play this game because I think it's absolutely fantastic.

I doubt it'll make much of a difference in the end assuming it's fixed relatively soon. They'll miss out on a few people who would've bought at $10 or $7.50, but the amount of people buying it right now will make up for it. They'll be fine

Just my luck

Bought it during the sale but got a refund because I wanted to get a few other things and $12 was almost all I had left. Now the game is is down to $5
