Best chance of beating Luffy is Pr Rog tbh

thats what im thinking

I am. Always was curious about this game whenever I saw it in stores but it seemed to lack buzz online so I never picket it up. Gonna correct that now.

Battle Fantasia is pretty fun. The characters are all lighthearted and silly and hold a lot of personality. The world is fully fleshed out and win or lose you get fun story per fight. Just remember to heat mode combo the final boss or you will not have a manageable time lol. Heat Mode uses the MP gauge at the bottom that can have 3 stock. You also spend this for supers.

Main thing is the Gachi button which used to be the right shoulder button.

  • Hit Gachi button to land safely
  • Hit Gachi button as an attack lands to negate damage and recover faster...ie counters but a bit easier to do than SF3 and something you can bait folks into doing poorly.(empty gachi to counter highs...Down+gachi to counter lows)
  • Hit Gachi + direction as an attack lands to do a Gachi Drive to knock folks away and do a wall bounce thats pretty good for combos. You can also chain together more normals in a Gachi Drive combo than normal and you build a lot more meter.

Also there are neat movement properties like jumping out of dash to get extra distance on jumps. Makes for a ghetto KoF super hop. Also you have an easy indicator if its possible to keep hitting a character for a combo...if their portrait glows blue t hen you can't keep juggling but if its red you have more hits possible in before they land.

Like I said...its a super easy game to get. Lots of combo potential, great footsies and easy tools. Just remember the scaling...Healthy characters take more damage, low health characters take less damage.

Damn this SFV beta is definitely looking a bit disappointing
Why? Exactly what I thought it would be, minus the 5 day period.

Does anyone have a chance at beating Zero in smash 4?
ZeRo hates customs, so my guess is that a lack of matchup familiarity could get him at some point. Other than that, ESAM is probably the best bet, because custom Pikachu has an infinite and a kill combo at 40%.

I had my expectations set too high. Was hoping for local play (there would still be plenty of people going online to network test) and maybe another character on top of the known six.

Don't get me wrong, though, I'm very glad to be able to play and give feedback on the netcode. Maybe the netcode will be a pleasant surprise

Dear lord Hanzo's potential as a character is insaaaanity.

edit: woops not the general, but it's a fighting game so i'll take it.

Ah, I see. That makes sense. I didn't set any expectations there, personally. I had a slight hope we'd have more than the 6, but it's all good. I wonder if the PC Beta will get more than the 6...

looks pretty dope. If one of them can beat louffy, I think USA got it
If I'm not mistaking, Valmaster hasn't been defeat by a USA player. Not even on money matches.

Problem is that I don't know if either Gagapa and Problem X are going to EVO. I can't find them on player locator

So

5 player teams

USA: Smug, Snake Eyez, Pr.Rog, Strider, Dieminion
Europe: Luffy, Valmaster, Ryan Hart, Phenom, Andreas

10 players

USA: Justin, Ricky, NuckleDu, Arturo, K-Brad
Europe: ISDD, Pro Fluke, Cuongster, Veggey, Fword .

I'm quite sure Problem X it's going, but since I can' find him... Gagapa in the other hand...

ZeRo hates customs, but I think he is likely familiar with most of them considering recent his tier list videos are a "customs" on list.

It was about what I expected. Online only and only 5 days. The only thing I was sorta expecting but didnt happen were two additional playable characters. Hopefully the PC beta gets the updated build. Totally double dipping on this

Familiar? No doubt in a general sense, but how much gameplay experience does he have against, for example, a custom Shulk moving beyond the speed of Sonic?

Hard to say, but I guess the dude didn't get to where he is now in Smash 4 without trying to get as much matchup experience as he could. That said, if beef manages to time him out with custom villager I won't even be mad.
