Looks like an ashen-haired woman with a scar on her face. What does this "type" look like? I'd like to know so I can avoid them in the future.
I bet all of this could've been settled with a round of Gwent.

Provocation does not excuse physical assault, legally or morally.
sure sure. but we are talking a provocation. anyone can take a drink to the face, in lieu of punching.

thin ego.
What is he even doing here? Looks like he's pulling himself towards the bar with great force, maybe she didn't appreciate being rubbed up against
Thats terrible advice that will almost always lead to a physical altercation. To me thats proportional to getting punched in the face by a stranger.

but she physically assaulted him twice....
Except for the fact that she assaulted him first.
The fact that her assault didn't do anything to him doesn't change that.
This is interesting because it feels like we're in different worlds. Ingrained in me, probably by my parents, is the notion that retaliating against such a small person is the real sign of weakness, and that what the "public" thinks about it is meaningless.Because, if that were to happen to me. 9 times out of 10 I'm so pissed after being hit in the face it's natural instinct to retaliate. The other scenario involves me trying to keep calm but wanting to counter out of revenge.
And let's be real, backing down from a fight after being struck is embarrassing and a sign of weakness to the public.
I dunno. I remember Jay Z doing the right thing against Solange and receiving widespread mockery for it. Dudes are told to just walk away or restrain a woman that assaults them, but then get endless shit for it from everyone for it. There are some serious conflicting messages about this sort of thing.
It had a really rough bar scene.
It goes for physical and verbal provocation. Unless he needs to physically defend himself, assault is not excused. Even if he were in a position to justifiably defend himself, his response must be proportional to the threat.
why is there a debate here? more reddit no maam members? my lord. yea you get hit by a woman, you walk away, or throw a drink in her face. thats about it.
lots of weak egos here that cant stand it that women vs men physical violence is a double standard in the eyes of ______. this a battle worth fighting? justifying punching a woman? kicked in the balls? fall down. get help. now if any of that was done by someone who would realistically be a physical threat, have at it.
what traumas have you all been through that justifies punching a woman? happen before? there should be no problem admitting it, tis is ok.

Oh please.

Where's the "squaring off"? This wasn't an arranged fight. She kneed him in the nuts and punched him in the face over him doing absolutely nothing wrong (that we can see from the video). He then defends himself and hits her back. It's not like he bulked up on her.
why are we pretending that im speaking in absolutes, and I didnt say walk away?
take the other option then mate. and no a drink in the face isnt the same as a concussion, bloody nose, or a black eye.
unless there is a language barrier and you think I mean throwing a glass at someone.?

Throwing a drink at someone can be construed as assault in a court of law. I don't recommend this ever, it's passive aggressive and stupid.
On the other hand, it's going to be really hard to convict someone of assault if they punch you seconds after you deck them in the face.

She called him a nigger then kicked and punched him
So a weakly thrown punch and a kick to her groin?
She called him a nigger then kicked and punched him
Was her response proportional to the threat. She's raising her fists literally the second he bumps into her.
And that's exactly what he did. She punched him. He proportionally punched her back. She hit him 3 times the limit amount that she didn't need to do to get him to remove himself. He hit her once and ended the entire situation.
I don't advocate for men hitting women in any situation, but the video is pretty clear.
It wasn't self defense. If he were backed into a corner then it would be self defense but he could have just walked away from the crazy bitch. As it is, it looks like they were both in the wrong. Her because she initiated the altercation, called him a nigger, kneed him in the balls and punched him in the face unprovoked, and him because he's a college football quarterback and is obviously going to be much stronger than some chick at a bar and he shouldn't have smacked the shit out of her like that.
Nah, it wasn't as universal or widespread as you're perceiving it. I saw more instances of props being given from what I remember.I dunno. Allegedly .
In the video none of that is visible. Even the punch misses.
Anyway nobody is saying she's innocent, but the response is disproportionate and the only demonstrable crime that nobody is refuting is the QB's underage drinking.
First of all, Johnson pushed her from behind into the bar escalating the situation. And yes, if some drunk idiot who weighs 100 pounds less than you decides to start something, you walk away. Tell a bouncer and have them tossed or find somewhere else to go. You don't smash someone's face over a weak ass glancing blow like that.So if the girl knew she had no chance then why the fuck did she get physical with him? So, just because I'm 6'3 and 250 pounds I can let some 5'5 140 pound guy punch me in the face because I play basketball and he's a weak hair stylist?
No, if that guy knows that I can kick his ass then he should make a better decision before hitting me, and be prepared for the counter.
What? Are you saying that didn't happen?
You are a complete hypocrite with that statement. So men are suppose to take the violence and do nothing, whereas women can unleash all sorts of self-defense?
Stephen A Smith will defend him, just watch.
So wait, the woman allegedly called him a nigger, kicked him in the nuts, and swung at him twice......
and people are shocked he retaliated?
Literally being called a nigger alone is infuriating enough to provoke someone, and she did much more than that. Like literally, what was he supposed to do? Walk away from all that, call the police and take her to court?
Please, stop. Props to this QB if she did call him a nigger, no sympathy for racists.

He was not justified in using force to defend himself and, regardless, his response is obviously not proportional.
Your defense completely relies on the idea that because he's bigger than her, then he loses his right to defend himself or be seen as the attacked party. I just don't know if I agree with that.
