Fighting Games Weekly | Jul 6-12 | Freuds Among Us

Well, that sells it for me: Yatagarasu netcode just gave me the best Eastern Canada to Pacific NW netplay experience I've ever had, assuming Juicebox is still based out there. Never would've thought that would've been playable.

It was horrible before I realized I committed a typo in forwarding my ports for it (frequent slow-motion matches, long delays between pairings), but ever since I cleared that up, the experience has been stellar.

I actually live in Phoenix Arizona now. I'm further than the Pacific NW.

You think you're getting better in a game but then realize you were in the same position as you were. I just don't get it, Vulva whopped my ass harder than usual and I just can't figure out why. Its making it feel like Chun-li is wolverine for crying out loud, some of the stuff he did is just not right.

lmao, the responses from arc are godlike.

Thats what you get for playing Rolento >:|

Take dat L homie.

In another, slightly more anime episode of Bad Evo Bets:

GO1 is taking MMs in Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax and is offering 10:1 odds. With that said, there's no one in the US I would even dream of having a positive expected value at 100:1 odds.

DGAF actually plays Destiny. Thousands of people on at a time. I run my own clan with nearly 100 people. And I solo raids like a boss.

Every time I see FGW on my friend's list playing something it's some Japanese game.
Going by this, maybe what fighting games really need are a bunch of variable feedback mechanics.

You might as well. It's nice to have a bunch of games on one system.

I'll get it eventually, but I'm questioning now. Like I still see way more people on 360 and people are seemingly jumping on PC bandwagon more and more. It sort of feels like the PS4 version is not as big as it should be. Like are there are top players playing on it?

Really wonder how many people are going to be sandbagging at that CM West tournament.

Definitely Justin Wong will sandbag... dude sandbagged for a FULL year to secure his EVO title after all. I don't think FChamp will sandbag though.

That 32 man bracket is pretty insane though. Quite a few amazing players are going to go 0-2.

you probably have to wait until Capcom forces tournaments to use the PS4 version. I would say that will happen towards the end of the Summer.

Honestly, the match making still seems pretty shitty to me. I tried to play on it the other night and was just getting orange and red bars. I dunno coulda been me.
I'd say for online play 360 and PC are your best bet. It's a decent port for offline play though.

Hey guys, having some trouble getting my PS3/4 TE2 working on my PC. I'm trying to play Ultra SF4 on it, but for some reason it's not recognizing it properly. Can't go into the settings and configure my buttons. Any idea why?

I actually found the connection working best with orange bars. Supposedly green bars had tons of lag, while orange bars felt pretty good. Might be my connection though.

I had to download DS4Windows on my PC for my PS3/4 TE2 to work with KoF XIII and Fightcade so try that.

Where's the bracket?

I tried that, and for some reason DS4 isn't even launching. I should restart and see what's going on.

I think I had to restart and run the Updater. Can't really recall what I did to get it working, but I'm usually dumb with this kind of stuff and I managed to get it working, so it probably wasn't hard.

Where's the bracket?

Every time a new game came out I had to delete 25+ people. Too many people always friend request me :(

I feel bad every time
so you laughed it off
PR Rog has gotten bodied repeatedly by Filipinoman who is a great Rose player, but far inferior to Luffy overall. I don't think Rog stands a good chance. Looking at the US roster I'm not sure who does. None of the top 10 or so US players plays characters like Yun, Yang, or Seth at a really high level. I think Rufus counters Rose, but Louffy has been beating Justin and Ricky lately so even that counter is no longer a counter. If it's a best of 1 then anyone can win, but if they want to be more legit and make it 2/3 or something like that then I can see louffy just running a train on the US.

As for the SFV beta, I hope it's possible to make a lobby and set it to private. Basically act like you're going to invite someone but don't actually do it so you can practice and try to figure stuff out before playing in real matches. I doubt this will be the case but I hope it is. If not then I'll just fire up my torrent client and start seeding like 20 different torrents so no one will try to play me.
Master series tho
PC will always be the best.

You get PS4 to play those low tier gaffers like Blackule who cant get on the PC train. And also for eventual tournaments after Evo.

Also SFV

I run Ultra on PC fine with my TE2. Make sure it's set to PS3 mode. I recall the button config in Ultra was a bit challenging, but once I got them set it was smooth sailing.

CHIP DAMAGE

This brings me to the subject of SFV, what do you guys think about the removal of chip kills? The only thing that still chip kill are supers from what I understand.

Personally I like it because if I have health then I should have a chance to come back but there are plenty of situations in SF4 where really low health means you already lost.
