Including an automatic dash, which is awesome.

Combo vs Max Ken Mirror

Combo or one of the other Community Reps mentioned on twitter a while back that V-Trigger out of SRK is gone in the internal builds - you can see it done in round 3.

Ken feels like a KOF/ASW character now with that run.
Quick throw techs continue to be one of the small but oh so significant changes with SF that I like. Really something that bothers me with SF4 but you kind of look crazy for complaining about it.

Agree about the KoF thing too.

Talking to a friend at sdcc, kens heavy tatsu elevates off the ground almost like an anti air. Doesn't seem like he's been given new moves.

i like how his v-trigger is like an auto-kara with the increased forward movement on everything

jab dp looks like it juggles easily into ex dp from midscreen

That was probably a legitimate concern, cause Roy was the original Marth clone, but it made sense to think they were going to change him since they couldn't port him from Melee, they might as well change him up.

But yeah character discussions get pretty silly in smash

That's true but I already foresee that Roy is going to be luigified because there is no way that they would sell "Lucina #2" and I'm pretty sure they already have a plan to make Roy to be difference from Marth in Brawl.

I actually really like SFV Ken except for that face. Needs to be changed for sure.

Yes, his face model really need to be work on. Hopefully the model is still WIP.

Okay, so for ken's v-skill, just pressing it will result in the dash+step kick. You don't have to hold it but that will come out and the v-skill itself is both special and normal cancelable. Most likely super cancelable as well.

I think all the clone arguments in Smash stem from the fact that these characters come from games where they can draw a lot from for their movesets so it doesn't make a lot of sense character wise for them to be so similar to other characters in the same franchise. Street Fighter does a better job of differentiating its clones and it doesn't really have to as they are specific to the series. They can just say Ryu and Ken and Sakura and Dan and Gouken and Akuma and Oni and Evil Ryu and Sean all use the same martial arts style as a base so that's why they fight similarly.

Smash is an even worse situation because they have a character that is a clone of another character from a completely unrelated game.

Ken's run seems worse than his forward dash unless you're normal-canceling it. His forward dash seems almost as good as his third strike one, which is pretty exciting. Not expecting 12 frame backdashes, but it's a step in the right direction.

Ken looking fun af to play. Ken and Charlie got my interest for now. #BLONDENIGGAS

That new char or whoever it is looking dope tho just by that lil teaser. Oh shit new nigga got dreads let's get it (from what it looks like)

Watching this combofiend video... who the fuck said Ken plays just like he did in 4? I'm not really seeing anything similar outside of specials and the odd normal

I think someone said the newest internal builds removed DPxxVtrigger.

Even better

It's because he still has the basic shoto moveset. Fireball, DP, tatsu.

Even then I think it's pretty damn disingenuous to say he plays like any other shoto. This is the most different playing shoto I've ever seen. I'd say Combofiend didn't lie at all.
