lmao infiltration just told the stream monsters that he's interested in going to a strip club in vegas and asking for recommendations now.

We assuming Ogawa is going to clean house in Xrd at EVO - or will stiffer competition show up? I saw that pressure at NWM...dear lord - that was insane.

So since KoFXIII is side-game status this year, what are the chances of Hellpockets being able to do commentary? I love watching the game but it died out there with the commentators it had last year.

Last I heard, The Answer and Juicebox were set to commentate KoF this year. Juicebox or someone else can help confirm though.

Yes, Minions will be able to brag about having the highest view count again at EVO. That I wouldn't bet again even though USF4 has so much momentum now and Marvel in on a decline. The time slot is just too good And just for reference I think if USF4, Melee or even Smash 4 had that time slot they would also have the highest this year. I don't feel the same about the other games though unless they have some really epic shit going on like Blazblue and KOF did in previous years in that prime time slot. It'd be nice if they could at least hold onto that schedule, I'd prefer not to watch USF4 GF's at 1 AM since I'm East Coast.

More timeslot talk?

I disagree. KOF broke viewer records when it was third to last game. I would bet money that any game on the roster would do 125k at least in Marvel's current timeslot.

When Marvel maintains highest viewed game despite the contrary happening at other events, it'll be more than proof that it's about the timeslot.

That being said, although it sucks that USF4 is always getting dicked over being the last game, it's getting the most time on the main stream this year. By a wide margin. The game isn't a victim.

They need to get The Notorious Z.I.G. out there stat.

Honestly though, I don't know anything about how Xrd's going to play out beyond the fact that the international guests all have a chance of making up the top 16/32 free and easy.

Not that Ain or Samitto are going to show up, but they both placed above Ogawa at Godsgarden.

We'll see how it turns out. Some people thought N-O was going to win BB Evo or Kokonoes will be in top 8, but we were wrong.
I'd say Woshige or Nage have a good chance at getting 1st as well.

Also never count out FAB. If he runs into Ogawa and Woshige though, that'll be iffy.

Kazunoko said that over 30 top GG players are coming over from Japan to compete at EVO.

http://smash4u.net/the-mr-game-and-...be-banned-at-the-evo-2015-doubles-side-event/

After review of videos & data, the use of Mr. Game & Watch and Sheik on the same team in the unofficial side event of Smash 4 Doubles at Evo 2015 will be banned. Both characters will still be legal if paired with a different character.

This isn’t the first time a team combination has been banned from a tournament for Doubles. Back in October 2014, there was a Pikachu and Mr. Game & Watch technique that could finish matches in mere seconds. It was patched after the community highlighted the issue.

We are not suggesting that this team combination be banned worldwide in doubles events, but due to issues of potentially over-centralizing the metagame in such a short period of time already, we want to encourage a strong and diverse meta for this event. It’s possible that more doubles strategies will become present throughout this tournament with the talented pool of entrants that could prove to be more dominant in later events, lessening the impact of Sheik and Mr. Game and Watch together.

Our main goal is to ensure a fun competitive event for the players and spectators for the unofficial side event for Smash 4 Doubles at Evo. By banning this team combination, we hope we can deliver an exciting event for everyone.

Emphasis mine.

That is correct. Of course, I believe we are both entered in the tournament also, so there will probably be interim commentators. The stream is being run by KingsOfColorado. (twitch.tv/kingsofco)

I wouldn't say any game. I don't think KI or Tekken would. USF4 is last because it's the main event. I don't consider that being dicked over.

Would KOF comm at Evo consider running 2k2UM or even 98UM over XIII? Unsure what KOF does best these days. I know some vets prefer the older games to XIII.

Didn't Melee do that about 2 years in a row before Marvel dethroned it each time? So the evening slot is pretty good, the prime time slot is obviously the best, but the night shift slot is when people start bowing out unfortunately.

But you're right, USF4 is no victim here. It's more of a dick measuring contest that I've unfortunately been apart of lol

XIII always has the most entrants at anything thrown in the USA. Internationally, a 98UM or 2k2UM tournament would be good, but 98UM now has the problem of the best version only being on PC.

As much as I love 98UM, what region even plays 98UM a lot? Japan seems to prefer 02UM over 98. China absolutely loves 97 for some reason.

I'd say all KOF should be run on PC if possible- the best version of each is on PC. 98, 02, and XIII.
(PC XIII matches Japanese arcade, console doesn't in a few minor areas)

China. I'd argue 02 should be run over 98 if you run oldschool and only running one game for the reasons mentioned. Also thinking it's a bit better game (coming around a bit on 02 though I prefer 98 roster)

ok halp

I've played tons of T7 games now but they've all been online. Anyone know how to play against the player infront of me (opposite cabinet)?

Any videos to see what things I should be pressing?

I know they love KoF but I just don't know much about which ones they play :(

I do remember hearing a lot of them hating 02UM because of Angel nerf though lol

I'm watching the ESL finals and it's amazing how little energy there is in the crowd or from the commentators. It sounds like they're doing the evening news.

I don't need (or want) them shouting every three seconds, but if the commentators and crowd don't care about the games, why should the viewers?

Is this a trick question?
