I'm GAF's resident punching bag.
Lol, you would definitely wreck me at the moment. I'm only confident enough to play scrubs on PS4 and PC for Ultra.

NRS isn't also competing with itself.
ASW released 3 full fighting game titles in North America in 2014. If you just do JP releases of full discs:
BBCP: Oct 2013
UNiEL: July 2014 (ASW did publish this on console)
P4U2: August 2014
GG Xrd: Dec 2014
BBCPE: April 2015
Somewhere in the middle there the +R update dropped.
They didn't release Persona though.NRS isn't also competing with itself.

If you count Persona, you shouldn't count Under Night in Birth.
For Melee, I would check the Competitive Melee thread in community. Also the website Melee it on Me. For Smash 4, there is the websites, The Smash Hub and Smash 4 all.Need notable players for both Smash games and Xrd coming to EVO. Any other EVO info that needs to be in the OT PM me.
New age of ragequitters?
Needs more "Fraud" related nonsense in the title.I Can't Believe It's Not 3D
I don't hate this title. hmmFGW | Waiting for games we ain't playing
lolif this new version comes to PC I guess I'll have to finally give BB a try
Makes senseI find it funny how everyone likes Nine's design out of all the unreleased characters in BB's backlog. (Myself included and I know fuck all about the series)
CS Extend was boring enough to kill my enthusiasm for these expensive disk releases. No way I could get into Persona the way I have BB. I'd buy nothing but ASW games year round in that case lol.![]()
I started with P4A as my first ASW game and that got me into Xrd but I'm also tired of their shit.
The logo in the middle is why the communities for the games sucks.Yup, the light green part is why the community for the games suck
Did Destrutoid just leak Sean?

What the hell happened to that LoL Fighting game.
Those look like braids, bruh.if you're not joking, that's ryu
cant believe me and mbpm1 met online during ranked lol
I'm a nj boy, so probs. if there was a scene that wasn't nlbc in the midst of brooklyn we probably see each other there tooyah and i think we live pretty damn close to each other, like neck on neck with the states lol
Yams hit me with the "counterpick you to 8-2 matchup FADC leave game" mixup. Too dirty lol
Evo has US exclusive Arc Revo qualifiers for BlazBlue and Guilty Gear, separate from the main events.I never bought BBCPEX because of Rachel reasons, so this was a good hiatus for me to get excited for the new game.
It would be nice if they considered western territories more though. It's always fun when ASW plans US qualifiers and such when the stars align.

They're sending 6 people (2 teams) this year.
Hi! Is this new/known? Brazilian Capcom Pro tour event changing its rules to benefit local players:
https://www.reddit.com/r/Kappa/comments/3cqlm5/problems_on_stage_capcoms_premier_pro_tuor/
The problem with ArcSys revisions is that they don't actually try to balance the game enough so that it makes it do-able to move from one iteration to the next consistently. It's kind of the NRS situation but with ridiculous time between versions instead of a lot of updates. Like, if they made small tweaks to bring the chars together a bit more and actually fun, it'd be easier to transition into new versions but you get a lot of chars that are totally different game to game and stuff doesn't transition well.
We always get to play catch-up as a result.
Yeah, I think I posted it the other day. I don't think a tweet to Capcom Fighters would cover it, it needs to be on FGC shows like UltraChen and stuff to be effective in getting the word out.Someone posted it a few days ago(I forgot who) but yeah that's pretty fucked up. Reading up on it some more, it's not just excluding foreigners, but other Brazilians who live in other regions of the country since Brazil is a pretty big ass country. Is Capcom not aware of this? This is South America's only CPT Premier Event and the organizers have basically locked out everybody except those that live in the Rio/Sao Paulo region.
I might shoot Capcom Fighters a tweet just to see but that might not matter much.
Its not even ballance, they just make incomprehensible decisions.
Hey we are adding kind of a clone of this character! We are getting rid of the clone and adding the stance mechanic/moveset to the old character! You know what we are splitting them back up again!

I don't like practicing what I KNOW will be obsolete soon. It is one thing to know updates will arrive eventually. It is another to actively know the stuff you are practicing is worthless. What's really funny is that ASW grief cycle image has been around for years and it's still relevant.
It's not even that. I just hate knowing whatever work I put into the game has a such a quick expiration date while I watch the new game develop elsewhere. I'm the type of person who likes to play game for years at a time and enjoy my personal development along with the game's own. I've been playing Persona nonstop for 3 years as my first ASW game and trying to branch out to other ASW games just hasn't been worth it to me from the player perspective.
Already there, man.Time to mass quit SF4

No because arcades are anti-consumerReal talk though, is there a business model for fighting game releases that's both pro-consumer (for western console gamers) and complementary to the Japanese arcade business model?

Pretty much.No because arcades are anti-consumer
what if they bring nesica to steam or some shit and it's pay to play credits wise, lmao?

Did BB have as much time between its new editions as SF?
If so then the problem would be in the revealing of things too early. Sort of like how Bernie Stolar shows up at E3 and shows off the Saturn then says its not the future of Sega and brings up Dreamcast even though it was just on paper at the moment.

Can someone tell me how many hours until Ultrachen Evo special? Thanks!
Pretty much.
It's past the point of parody and just tiring at this point watching globalized corporations continue acting as if they are not; especially when catering to that market in the state it's in. This is why SFV having a beta and no arcade release is so refreshing and... logical.

I would love this, hahaha.they can release it on console in the west and keep it arcade only in Japan
let the Japanese players import if they want/must
I feel like that makes it even more painful. Practicing irrelevancy for an entire year.Over a year away isnt soon
Any precedent that might indicate Nine's presence? They have a loketest for BBCF next week IIRC.
I think the wait is shorter than SF. Part of the problem is that you can't even upgrade the game, unlike Street Fighter where if you bought Super you could upgrade to AE and Ultra without having to buy another release of the game.
Xrd kinda did a better job than most other ASW games. The initial release came out few months after the arcade, which is meh, but the NA version came out less than a month after the Japanese version, and we got the 1.1 patch about a month after it hit the arcades. It'll be illogical if Xrd continues to follow this trend. Supposedly it did decent in the west and had lackluster Japanese sales?
