Are there going to be pop-up deals that aren't listed? Looking at all of the upcoming "Prime Only" deals isn't exactly making me excited...

I can imagine a few lucky few, but half a million by one person? That's got to be fake. They all getting cancelled for him and everyone else.

Man, we have strict gift cards rules in place in stores as is as there is an actual limit and amount you can purchase from a store and I'll be damn this one purchaser didn't ring giant alarms bells that something is wrong with the system with Best Buy online.

Could spend the next couple years of his life selling them for 75% value online, easily.

Anyone buying a ton are hurting their odds. They are going to be cancelled. Anyone who thinks there's even a chance they will limit people to just one are absolutely delusional. There will be a few lucky people who slip through, and buying a fuck ton ensures you're not going to be one of those lucky few.

200 dollars of credit for 15 bux? Yeah, they're not honoring one. The only way they are is if some get processed before they have a chance to stop it (and they decide it's not worth the effort to find ways of cancelling those that do get through).

It's a myth that a store has to honor a price that is an obvious mistake. Most stores do because they prefer the good PR/good customer relations. But at a certain price point a store is going to put their foot down. And no way is Best Buy going to be ok with eating the amount of money they would lose if they honored those (Even at one per person). Besides, from my experience Best Buy could give a shit about looking like they have good customer service.

Disclaimer: I will admit I'm not 100% sure but I am 99% sure. I'd be shocked if they do honor it even at one per person. And admittedly a little jealous of those that caught it in time (I refuse to shop there for my own personal reasons but at that price I wouldn't be giving money to Best Buy, I'd be taking it so I wouldn't feel bad about that deal).

^ just a headsup. I got in on a $20 64 GB last week for my 3DS and didn't realize it needed special formatting to work. So it's been sitting here lol.Ain't nobody got time for all that. PLUS having to unscrew the back of the panel.

do we know when the 40 inch tv is popping up? Im kind of confused about what those lightning deals are that we can look at.

US btw

double edit: oh, i dont think these are part of it. Sorry, just signed up prime like an hour ago lol

It's super easy tho...not time consuming...

Always appreciated the NERD In Search Of... album cover as your avi. Every time I see Shay I want to play the album.

Is the slot on the side of the 3ds not where you put the memory card? Because that's where I have mine. Or are you talking about the new 3dsXL?

The only confidence I have over this Best Buy thing comes from when the Gamer's Club memberships were basically free.

I got like 600 bucks worth of years on it. However, Best Buy wised up and made it 30 bucks a month for new members.

Nope. Seems like it'll be the type of deal that pops up randomly, or with a short period of advanced notice.

Just asking as i know some of you guys are big computer tech people. Im seeing a ton of posts on SD, and a couple other places about how that Bestbuy thing might of been a huge phishing thing by a hacker to get CC info. Any possible way that can be true?

Doubtful honestly. Could you imagine the lawsuits though? Oh my god.

If that were true, Best Buy would have some really shit backend and encryption. I really, really doubt it. Feel free to monitor your credit card though.

30 a month now? Thought it was 30 for two years

Yea gonna be checking it all day tomorrow. If i see anything weird show up will be calling on the spot to get it cancelled.

Extremely unlikely. As in, 0.000000001% chance that someone could infiltrate BB's backend eCommerce system and collect unencrypted CC data. People saying that are either trolling or spewing misinformation.

So if I sleep now, and wake up, say 10:30-11 am tomorrow, what is the likelihood of the $75 32-inch TVs being sold out.

Cause I'm feenin for one of those

If it goes on sale while you are asleep it will 100% guaranteed be sold out. No idea what Amazon's history tells us about whether or not they put desirable items for sale at odd hours.

This is certain the perfect situation for a troll to stir people up. It would be an amazingly crazy thing if this really were a hack. Best Buy would have a lot to worry about then. Sheesh.

Sleep? Hell if you blink it will be gone. You need to be fast with that 1-click setting with good Amazon lightning deals.

Guys I said it was paranoia! I'm wearing a tin foil hat; would you believe me if you saw me on the street!?

i really hate stuff like this. I just got off of monitoring other sites 24/7 for figures from comic con. Now I have to monitor amazon for a god damn tv

Those are people just starting stuff, most deals on slick deals have people saying crazy stuff... Don't sweat it...

Just think about what they are saying, hackers hacked Best Buys website, created a couple of fake gift card listings, and are stealing CC info from people who buy it... That would be unprecedented to happen for a company the size of Best Buy and would probably ruin their reputation... Not going to happen...

This is all part of Best Buys master plan. Since everyone trying to get the gift cards probably has ahold on their cc/debit cards, they won't have enough to splurge on Amazon. Tomorrow, all the gift card orders will be cancelled, and Best Buy wins.
This is purely a tale from my ass
