The Golden content isn't really any better to say its worth it (in fact most of it is worse), especially if you're 30 hours in. But considering you already bought a Vita, you might as well.

I'd say finish vanilla since you're already that far in and replay it with Golden later.
It's how I played them and it was great.

Though if you only plan on playing it once then yeah, go for Golden.
