Picked up the Vita... Mainly plan on using it as a PS1 machine, gonna be nice on the commute in and out of SF I do each day for work.

Plus remote play on PS4 is nice right? I dunno...convincing myself it was a good call.

Any tips for a new vita owner ya'll?

Danganronpa 1 and 2 before Another Episode this fall. Easily the best games on the system.

Ya a big one that I didn't discover until like 2 years into owning it. There is an option called Use Wifi in Power Save Mode I had enabled, think it's possibly enabled by default. I thought by the name it meant that it enables wifi even when it's sleeping, which you'd probably want if it were downloading stuff while you weren't using it. No it means it puts the wifi in a low power state always basically making it suck. I never used remote play becaues it was so horrible until I finally saw a post about it here and disabled it and immediately fixed lol :) Enjoy it, should be fun for you.

Remote play is awesome for some games and not worth the time for others (in my opinion). I've used mine for remote playing stuff like Valiant Hearts and Transistor, but found it not worth my time for stuff like Wolfenstein, Driveclub or The Witcher. So for PS4 exclusive indies? Been awesome. And when we get more JRPG styled games like Persona 5? Also going to be awesome.

if you have NA account , prepare your self to not play Crash 1-2-3 CTR and Spyro games and many many PS1 games

just buy some used PSP and install some homebrew and use your own games from your PS3 to transfer them to PSP

Awesome, thanks.

Yeah I'll likely just play AAA games on PS4 anyways, I like the TV/sound system setup I have for that, but for indies and older games that I would be playing on my PS3? The Vita will be reaallly handy for that.

Thankful I didn't start playing Persona 4 on my PS3 so I can now do P4G instead (I hear that's the way to go).

Wow, that Vita bundle sold out quicker than I thought.

I think I'm done "waiting" for deals now. I have Bloodbourne, a power bank charger, and an iPad Mini (needed one for college purposes) from the whole thing, so I don't think I wasted my time.

Yeah, just looked through my download list to see which PS1 games I have are available for Vita. Bummed about Crash/Spyro not being playable, but stoked about Dino Crisis haha.

Is there really a lot of PS1 games that aren't cross play for NA? Why is that?

Lol at buying an overpriced Vita to play PS1 games on....

These things were $150 a year ago lol

Eh, I have a number of cross play PS1/PS4 indies already. Considering I commute all the time, I think it will keep me entertained.

So, is your argument that I should have bought it for the exclusive games vs the PS1 titles? Or are you saying that it's overpriced either way and I shouldn't have bout it at all?

Oh P4G is going to be a blast. Jealous of you getting your first time!

IMO it's definitely overpriced. I've had a Vita and it's good for certain things, but it's definitely not a good PS1 device (too many games missing, especially in US) and it's definitely not a good remote play device (too much lag, controls are horrible for most games due to touch/missing buttons)

Should have waited for $99 imo, since you're gonna have to buy an overpriced memory card regardless.

The vita is great handheld with several games coming. Ultra despair girls, Corpse party blooddrive ( the final one in the trilogy also available on vita ) , digimon, World of FF. Don't let those comments discourage you.

Mem card was included in the BL2 bundle.

why ? because its SONY and they don't want out money ( something something about regions of the companies of the games )

here is the list

there was a thread here about the games , but i lost it

I have a crapload of Vita games from Plus already. Plus Remote Play...yeah I feel pretty good about this purchase.

I'm 30 hours into Persona 4 vanilla. Should I restart with Golden?

You're about 1/3 of the way through.I'd say just finish up vanilla then go to Golden.

That's definitely a YMMV thing, because RP is flawless for me. Love it

Please. Remote play isn't flawless for anyone.

On top of there not being enough buttons and touch screens being terrible to replicate buttons, the analogs are also really bad compared to a controller. Remote play on PS4/Vita is a fucking joke compared to using a Wii U.

You can remote play wii u from out of the house? That is awesome I though it was limited to the same network for some reason.
