Brand New SFV character Necalli revealed at EVO 2015

A stomp special that launches is really cool. They only showed him comboing a DP from it though, so I hope there's some reset potential there.

Man dude, this game looks fucking great. Like shockingly good. Every time they show it off I'm more impressed.

Capcom may have something special on their hands with this one.

Also that hair during the transformation is glorious

eh, cammy reveal was more hype.

Dreads look incredibly stupid.

Flaming look wasn't much better.

And his gameplay really didn't excite me either aside from maybe the stomps.

Hope his personality is something different besides a generic nutcase/savage because I'm really not feeling him.

He looks incredible both in terms of appearance but also gameplay style. He fits right in with the classic world warriors, IMO. SFV's animation is SO GOOD.

He looks amazing, much better looking than almost any of the new characters from SFIV. And rush down is my jam so I will definitely be getting some time in with him.

For me, I don't know if this can be topped unless they have a female a long the lines of a brutal Makoto type non pretty girl type character in the works.

Meh, character seems meh. But his actual moves seems pretty interesting. I'd personally never play him but whatever. I'm just glad we've finally seen a new character.

The new character looks meh, it pretty cool that he can go super saiyan though.
But when do you guys think they'll reveal Ken? :V

He looks alright I guess, way better than that ugly ass Birdie.

Nothing I've seen has me hyped for V though. Remember Crimson Viper's reveal? That was amazing and I knew I was on board with IV from that point, she's by far the best new character to join this series since Street Fighter II and I really need her back in V.

So good. I like this guy. He fits. get SF2 Blanka and Gill/Urien vibes in his design. With some World Heroes Mudman and Dio, and Tam Tam from SamSho in their too.

Love this.

It's hard to get a detailed sense of his fighting style from the little bit we see in the trailer, but he appears to be an aggressive brawler/grappler. He can be seen doing at least one command grab where he slams his opponent to the ground, causing a slight ground bounce. Might not be enough to combo off of, but the EX version of the same throw wall bounces for easy follow-ups. His Critical Art is an advancing series of blows ending in a big X-shaped claw slash, very reminiscent of Wolverine's Berserker Barrage X super from other Capcom fighting games.

Interestingly, this Critical Art changes when he engages his V-Trigger, much like Ryu's does, though the change is more dramatic, leading to what seems to be an entirely different move. During V-Trigger, Necalli's hair goes all Super-Saiyan, elongating and glowing red. Like other characters such as Bison and Birdie, this seems to add new properties to his existing special moves. In addition, it appears to alter his jump arc to be longer, and lower, allowing him to cross up his opponent from quite a ways out at one point in the trailer. It's hard to 100% confirm that change from the quick cuts shown though.

its nothing we couldn't figure out already.

I mentioned this in the other thread but sort of feels like a better designed T.Hawk. Assuming the throw is a command throw, move set has some similarities. I see the horizontal and angled dash, as well as what appears to be a angled dive kick at one point.
