any chances he might be the boss?
What if there is no "boss" and everyone fights someone different in the last round depending on their role in the story? That would be sweet.

Speaking of story, they said there is gonna be a increased emphasis on it this time around, so I hope we get some more details on that soon.

Maybe it will be more KI or at best MK style.

Warriors from around the world will fight to be the one who gets to eat the last chocolate muffin in the cupboard :3

Not super familiar with either series' take on the story mode other than I know it's more expansive.

My benchmark is the Rival Schools series. Now that's a series that knows how to make a compelling story that involves all the characters.

Necalli and Urien's eternal battle over the magic Illuminati thong.

Well, it's not like he's a huge character in mass. He's always been the tall/slender character with muscularity.
I personally wouldn't think of Urien as "slender". Tall, definitely, but he's packing some serious muscle.

So the new guy...isn't from New Zealand huh :P
Kinda feel bad we didn't get a Maori inspired charcter, but overall I like him.

If anything this means that characters are not tied to stages.

any chances he might be the boss?

My thoughts exactly, he could be in constant V-Trigger mode for the 2nd/final round.

Furthermore looking at his attire it's possible that if Urien is in the game that Urien might have an altered design.

Look at his sprite

His build wasn't overly muscular for one thing.
He just has a very tapered waist, he's still extremely built along the chest, arms and shoulders. ((is legs obviously too.) He's got a lightweight bodybuilder physique, with emphasis on the V shape.

So the next reveal we are aware of is Brazil Game Show in October, and according to Ono tease it should be a brazilian character.
Has Capcom teased anything else after EVO?

We're definitely getting something at TGS, which is September 17th.

BGS is in October 8th. Pretty close, wouldn't be such a long wait for another character besides from now.

On second look, the hair looks great in motion, but in still images:

This looks incredibly stupid.
Fucking terrible game and shit design why can't they thiiink about the bullshots? /sarcasm

Man if it looks good in motion does it matter if its awkward in a screenshot?

As long as MS is NOT the market leader this gen I see no issue with the clause. It's goal is to mainly is to prevent the competition from getting exclusive indie deals. When in a market leadership position they can levarage install base over their main competitors to either make indie exclusive deals more expensive or get indie devs to think twice about not releasing first on Xbox.

Since that has completely backfired I could care less. I would worry about by next-gen if it still exist.

Sure I can see some indie devs rather benefiting from it's non-existence, and ultimately gamers of that platform get more "indies" but it's what it's. MS is currently cherry picking those the indies they want etc and since they're in no possition to demand as much, they'll take high profile indies with open arms - hence the ID@XBOX team. They're keeping the clause on paper because that's in their genes, and they'll make sure everyone knows what they'll be dealing with in the future...if by next gen roles change.

The SFV hype is too strong. Gets you talking about all sorts of shit.

Great, a new character to appeal to all those fujoshi. I wish they'd keep this husbando shit out of Steet Fighter. They're literally ruining the game for me and I know me and a lot of others won't be buying this iteration due to that pathetic pandering. It's disgusting and his outfit serves no purpose outside of giving fujoshi something to be excited about. I'm really dissapointed in Capcom for making such a character and it's genuinly made me upset to think he exists. Please everyone, let's vote with our wallets to show Capcom this pathetic manservice is not acceptable.

I'm actually parodying the sort of response had Karin been announced, the new character looks pretty awesome and although I would've liked a Karin reveal, this guy will do. He looks really fun and doesn't really moveset wise look like anyone else which is the most important thing!

I love the V-Trigger form of Necalli, but not his normal looks. Mostly because I absolutely hate dreadlocks. Not sure yet if I like his play style, I really need to see full matches. Sucks that we didn't get a character tease.

I like the character and I like how the designs are taking SFV's engine strengths in consideration. The big upgrade from IV to V seems to be the amount of moving pieces on the character models. So a regular, medium length hairstyle like Ken's classic look isn't that easy to replicate but 50 pounds of 5 foot long dreadlocks works fine. The Satsui no Hairdo looks pretty good in motion, as well.

Urien is huge. It's cracking me up that people say he's slender. Remy is slender. Dhalsim is slender. Urien is jacked with bowling ball shoulders, a barrel chest, and look at them quads.

I was thinking on redesigns... and I could see Alex wearing his bomber jacket, if they wanted to 'change' him up.

He was wearing it in Capcom Fighting Evolution, of course, that game was cancelled.

Please never put Seth in an SF game again. If he absolutely has to be in make him the Divedick version of Seth.

But his kick special is too awesome to give up!

Urine is huge. It's cracking me up that people say he's slender. Remy is slender. Dhalsim is slender. Urien is jacked with bowling ball shoulders, a barrel chest, and look at them quads.

This is a jab at me, since I made that comment. But I explained what I meant by that. The correct word I meant to use was "Lean"

Also, you spelled Urien incorrectly.

As in, he's not bulky. On the like of characters like Alex/Hugo/Zangief/Abel/Etc.

He is bulky but tbf, that sprite is deformed. This is more what he looks like in the game.

So he is slightly less bulky than what your sprite showed.

It always irks me to see SF3 sprites deformed. I thought you were fans of the game? You probably watch SD TV stretched on your LCDS, and complain about black bars on your dvds.

Are we sure Necalli isn't some Caveman from new zealand :P
BTW Ken Bogard is French right? Would explain why he wrote the name as Rachid since most Middle Easterns would write it as Rashid from what I've seen.

As is Rashid's the one character I want to see, but with what 7ish months to go the wait for him will be one heck of a ride XO

Hate dreadlocks huh? Guess you and I will never meet in real life then. :/
