Amazon customer service just sent me a code over the chat.. The code didn't work on my UK account so it looks like the beta is region locked.

Make (or use if you already have one) a US PSN account and redeem it on that. Granted it'd still be NA servers.

Expecting first beta to kind of be a lag fest anyway, regardless of region.

Welp, just tried and they said that I'd have to try contacting them again tomorrow if I wanted to expedite the beta code email. They said it can come any day between now and the 27th, one day before the beta ends. :/

Contacted Amazon.com through the live chat, and I didn't get a code through there. They just told me I should be getting one later today, and forwarded my request to marketing where I "should be getting a request in 1-2 business days."

So neither my Amazon.ca pre-order from June, my first Amazon.com pre-order today nor my second Amazon.com pre-order today got me a code. Sucks.

I recall reading that you select your character and it puts you into training while being connected to a match, but you can't just select training and turn off matchmaking.

This happened to me when I contacted them, they sent me a new one right after.
